Hi Kylia, my name is Grant and I'm 34 from the UK. I've just come across your channel. I've only watched a couple of videos so far, but I think they're great! I gave my life to Christ in 2019 but unfortunately, due to life circumstances, I took a step away before I'd even started. I got married but the marriage only lasted 6 months, then my little sister passed away (she was only 16), and then I just gave up and just stepped away from God entirely. However, just over a year ago I found a new church and so began my "restoration" and I started drawing closer to God again. Fast forward to now, and I'm halfway through doing a Bible Course at my church - which I love! The first thing I do when I wake up is read the word and do my Bible Study, and it's helping so much. I've got a ways to go yet, but I'm learning every day and I feel like I'm drawing closer to God every day. I went from feeling hopeLESS to hopeFUL. I don't know what God has in store for my future, but I have trust in Him that it will be something great.

One area I hope to improve in is my prayer life. Admittedly, I don't pray often - and I don't even know why. But I'm going to make a conscious effort to pray more. I am currently unemployed due to mental health difficulties (I have autism and ADHD), so I literally have all the time in the world during my day to pray - and yet I don't. I try to keep myself busy with "things" - to try and distract me from my feelings and negative thoughts, but that only lasts so long. I find it incredibly difficult to just sit quietly in the presence of God - yet it should be the easiest, most natural thing in the world to do.

4:38 Personally, I like reading the ICB (International Children’s Bible) translation. I’ve had my Bible for a while and I like that it’s easy to understand! But sometimes I compare with the NKJV translation!

I’ve been really stressing about what to read in my Bible lately, I feel like there’s so much I need to work on as a Christian and it’s been stressing me out, but I have to remeber the Holy Spirit works in us and Philippians 1:6 ❤❤
