How I got my pull ups stupidly high

Video Overview & Insights

High pull ups aren't a deeper pull up. They're a different skill, sitting on three separate things, and most people only ever train one of them.

Really good

Ok… looks cool… but why?

Wish I could hype this video. Great stuff!

I mean bro also has god tier genetics too. I have a short torso and long femur so literally everything I do is made almost impossible with conventional advice.

Your high pull-up gives you the same height as my muscle up. Insane.

Brother, this video is excellent. This is exactly the level of nuance the fitness space is lacking. Well done! 🙌

It's one thing to build a good physique the first time in tandem with the growth-spurt during mid- to late teenage years, it's another to do it a second time like you've done, so massive respect for your 2nd, post-MMA build.

P.S. Was your neighbour's tree already there when you moved in, or did they import and plant it fully grown when you (rather brilliantly) rebuilt your physique and started doing those super-high pull-ups, and while you were up there, did you notice if any ladies of that house started sunbathing more or less -- purely for socio-scientific research, of course :)

The AI-assisted script is distracting

Those really run super well along the lats’ natural arcing line of pull

@vantablackecho
@

are high pullups harder than normal pullups, or is it just more of a technique change?

@spoopy.

Ok let’s be honest those dips don’t even count

That’s an interesting way of seeing it aiming the bar to your belly

You can train this with dumbbell / barbell pullovers on a bench too. I'm currently fixing shoulder stability problems by training my serratus with pullovers. Being able to use lightweight really helps figure out mind-muscle connection and how to properly pull in that motion. It helps build the overhead range of motion safely too.

Those high pulls are crazy clean

@5:27 the wrist flexion looks completely different between the side by sides. I have terrible wrist flexion and struggle to do flat handed push-ups (due to the wrist angle required).

Your transformation is unreal .

@yourpalbobbyboi
@

@2:30 why is you pull-up biasing your right side so much that it's slightly uneven? I assume thats because it's your dominant arm still very uneven pull (you must be strong AF to basically do the pull with one arm predominantly) or i guess an shoulder injury.

Fantastic video, super precise and unique tips

Really good video compiling all the elements of high pull ups, and not neglecting the different training aspects eg. Strength and speed specific training

Interesting stuff, but when I go to your website I don't see the cheat sheet. I've turned off my vpn and tried it on two browsers.

High pull ups are essentially bodyweight pullovers, which hit all the back muscles you typically miss with pullups

Your point no 4 is what I really needed. I'm a tall heavy guy and I feel like I get CNS-burnout very easily when working towards high pull-ups and muscle ups. Thanks a bunch for the tips

If you add practical lights on the right you should light your face from the same side and same colour temperature else it looks off and fake
