Even though I will never need one as a dual citizen of the US and Europe, I hate the idea of electronic travel authorizations cause we are supposed to have visa-free reciprocity with all the countries involved. Sure, we can say an ETA isn’t a visa, but it’s a security check which of course can be denied for pretty much any reason so it’s basically just a visa. A cheap one, but let’s not fool ourselves. Increasing security is understandable, and I agree with doing so, but there are already fees in airline tickets that should pay for those checks through checking people’s passports.

the EU thing in your video is false. the area free of travel restrictions that you refer to is the Schengen area, which is a separate entity to the EU. for example, Ireland and cyprus are in the EU but not the Schengen area, which means that you still have to go through broader control to go from say France to Cyprus. another note, even when the UK was in the EU, it was never part of the Schengen area, so you still had to show your passport when crossing the UK-France broader.

Whats the maximum stay in the uk with just a passport... I looked that i can still up to six months but im still confused cuz the. I also see that i need a standard visa.. is my passport a standard visa this is my first time traveling to the uk ive been in the uk for about 3 months now staying with my bf and have income coming in every week.. i just really need someone to clear this up for me so i dont get in trouble im trying to expand my stay for a year and idk what to do should just call the uk embassy or the us embassy..

As both British and German citizen I technically have access to Consular assistance from 80 countries (UK, Germany, all other EU countries and all other Commonwealth countries).
I’m not sure how much help I’d get from some of those countries though.

@Randall_jitsui do like the fact i can go to AUS from NZ for as long as i like though as long as i have a passport and because of eGate for passports no border control other than security so quite easy to get in to AUS

Im a 12 year old in bosnia i want to be a pilot but in a different country (ireland or some other EU country)
So i dont have to live with a small wage in my home country.
But i am a bit confused with visas, citizenships and and other stuff.. I just want to live a happy life and support my family (parents esspecially when they get old) so i csnt wait to get older and actually know what i will do

For most countries, visas technically don't actually grant you access to the country - instead visas are prerequisites for you to show up at the border and the border agents will decide whether you're allowed in or not

@ahyan14Cool little thing: Palestinian authority citizens (except Gaza) can travel to Jordan without paying the visa fee and can stay up to a month (I think). I mainly just use that to cross the land bridge separating jericho and jordan.
