A lot of us often think of Russia as somehow being one big, monolithic, all-Slavic country, but that isn't necessarily the case, as Russia is home to numerous different ethnic republics that may or may not be impossible to explain without starting a flame war.

2:00 just a heads up, this expanation is considered a myth, as the term "Україна" was used far before Russia even came to be. It just sounds similar to the word 'окраина" meaning something like borderland or just "край" meaning edge, but it really is just a coincidence
It's also kinda one of the most offencive things you could say to a Ukrainian, so, the more you know i guess
