How Congress' housing bill may, or may not, impact Americans
Video Overview & Insights
A sweeping bipartisan housing affordability bill is set to go into law at midnight on Friday, without President Trump's signature. The president says his decision not to sign the bill is a protest against lawmakers' failure to pass his package of voting reforms and restrictions. Bruce Marks, founder and CEO of the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, joins "The Daily Report" to discuss.
Does that mean that corporate owning more than 335 houses will have to start selling their stockpile

@89txmanClassic government. 'We stopped Wall Street from buying more homes' is just a fancy way of saying 'We permanently protected the market share of the giants who already cornered it.' They drew a line in the sand, grandfathered in the sharks, and left the rest of us out to dry. Meanwhile, their 'solution' to lower housing costs is just cutting regulations so builders can mass-produce cheaper, worse homes with zero structural integrity. We get overpriced junk, and corporate landlords get a protected monopoly. Nothing they do benefits you.
@8TrapDnaBoxCongress is not going to do anything to help you unless you are a multimillionaire. The sooner you realize that the sooner you can get back to work.
The lesson is to teach your children how to get ahead.
Hereās impact. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says he does not believe deporting an illegal alien who raped a 10 year-old girl makes his state safer.
@Alf2555No such thing as nonprofit organizations.
@JimCovey-by3gdFraud!
@JimCovey-by3gdTrump still thinks "affordability" is a "made up word". Smh
@JefferyStewart-g9uDonald Trump and his father Fred, regarding "slumlord" practices and predatory landlord practice. The DOJ sued Trump and his father, Fred Trump, for racial discrimination in violation of the Fair Housing Act. Civil rights testers found that Black applicants were systemically told apartments were unavailable, while white applicants were offered leases. The case was settled in 1975. During his acquisition of the Central Park South property that would eventually become Trump Tower, Trump attempted to force out rent-stabilized tenants. Court documents and tenant lawsuits from the 1980s detailed strategies such as reducing heat and hot water, imposing strict building rules, and at one point, floating the idea of sheltering homeless people in the building to drive out existing residents. Thatās why Trump is against the bipartisan housing bill.
@reecom9884A senior official of Mamdani's administration Ana MarĆa Archila) scheduled a meeting with Iranās ambassador but the meeting was canceled after the State Department intervened. Aint this Treason?
@TheBigO1986Nice another bill that will do nothing
@Sebastian-m7o9iThis bill is promoted manufactured homes.... Here's your box š
@DW-ue1clyou will never bring down home pricing. It starts in the assessors office and the assessor is the number one reason for inflation. The assessor takes a 100k home and makes the value 500k even though a building actually depreciates.
@blown503Here come the storage containers. Just wait until the pendulum swings again ...
@kriskrash4961It is geared toward homeowners, not renters.May fall short for renters most in need this dont mean anything for renters so renters are still left in the dark
@djtedstyleMinor significance .... As Americans are homeless and unable to live.
@matthewmaxcy1574Whata mess!
@abelardochavez3426They want to give away houses for one dollar to their associates who want to sell it for a profit and when that doesn't work the government will need to bail them out. It won't affect you (like he said) unless you are part of his criminal gang. I want to sell my house to a corporation for a fair price and he wants to push me out of it and sell it for one dollar and a whimsical promise.
@lowiq888Honestly if they said they were pedophile cannibals but they will not allow our military defense to be intertwined with the IDF. Iād be open to it.. ya know, right now they are doing both
@jordanlamatrice1Define "housing". If you mean tiny apartments in 15-minute cities where the only way you can get around is to take a bus full of drugs, homeless people, and strangers that want to stab you, then tear that bill up! We want houses that we can own, not some European communist dystopia.
@MushroomCap-i2eModular homes and government owned home for $1, this sounds like some socialist garbage.
@ryanclandening2117The blame for Grandpa Tre45on being in the White House rests solely on the American voters who elected him. Now these people are suffering, which is what they deserve. Regrettably, those American voters who voted against Grandpa Tre45on have to suffer as well. Do the right thing. Vote Blue at every election at every level from this day forward until the GOP goes extinct.
@madfoodscientist2025Vito every bill until you get to say that thatās what I voted for Mr. Trump
@davidtanguis4247Elections have consequences. Deal with it, America.
@MAHDl2028Trump again refusing to do his job. Worst president ever.
