Kendra doesn't deserve her daughter's love. I dont think it will ever be the same, I hope lorna never forgives her. So many teenagers get bullied and commit suicide, which is horrible. What would she have done if her daughter actually did commit suicide? What the fuck would she have done? I cant even imagine. Not to mention the fact she lost 2 jobs to send messages full time....and lied to her husband about it.

No one else sent the first messages. Kendra, we know is a pathological liar. The FBI confirmed the messages began and ended with Mommie Dearest. This woman is so disturbed it is just unbelievable.

What a horrible twisted woman. She doesnt deserve her daughter or her forgiveness and isnt worthy to be called a mum. If it was my mum I'd not forgive her.

Fast forward 10 years… so Lauren what made you get into criminology?

I've seen the documentary and the film that was "inspired" by the case (which was over dramatised and not that good). What this monster "mother" put her daughter through and the boyfriend is unforgivable and what I found shocking is that the girl forgave her mother after everything she did. It is very obvious that the mother is jealous of her daughters relationship with the boy, knows her daughter is growing up and may one day steer away from their "closeness" and be her own person without relying on her mother to guide her. So, the only way to keep controlling her daughter, is to try and destroy every other relationship her daughter has so that she doesn't loose that "closeness" and full control of her daughter life. 
The only good that came out of it is that the daughter has a closer relationship with her father (and a healthy one!) which seems her mother didn't let her have before. The mother should've got a way longer sentence than what she was given. The mother is a heartless narcissist and shouldn't be allowed to see her daughter until she is 18 and can make her own decisions as an adult, when shes been given time to understand everything her mother did to her and how much danger to her life her mother put her in (such as driving her daughter to take her life).

My god. 13 mins in, and my heart breaks for Lauren. This would have been devastating for me as a teenager. I hope she's ok, this poor young woman!

To be honest , i believe that the judge should've ordered a no-contact order to protect Lauryn from her mother.

I watched this on Netflix and was so angry. I knew straight away that those messages were written by an adult because kids don't talk like that. It's far too embarrassing. I initially suspected her mum but then thought "it can't be!" Cos she's on the damn documentary! YIKES!!

I still think this is about that boy!! She was older and desperate for attention so took it out on her beautiful daughter, she's an egotistical, sick woman, that hugging of that girl, how very dare she?? Vile, great story telling emma xxx

If that was me I'd run a mile from my mum, dad or anyone else in my life and have nothing to do with them again. The so-called mother will never change. She's better off without her. This could've ended in the daughter's death, in my world that alone is unforgiveable.

That is the most protected baby in the world because thousands of true crime fans with strong stomachs and no issue with truly justified vigilante justice will absolutely destroy anyone who even thinks of harming her!

I can’t believe the police confronted Kendra while her daughter was there. And Kendra had her hands all over Lauren as the police were telling Lauren her mum was her abuser. The police completely ducked that up. Poor, poor Lauren. I hope she gets some really good therapy and goes no contact with her psycho mother.
