It means capitalism is in its last leg; and there will come a time when the stock market will collapse. 🎉

Government never fixes problems like this, they create a ton of regulation that will ultimately make it the problem worse. Stop believing in big government and take control of your lives!

The young generations just need to be comfortable with saving for 10-15 years for a home purchase. The worst thing you can do is buy a house, you can't afford. They require excess cash to keep them up. There is a lot of people who can't meet those demands and will end up living in a ghetto house. Don't get me started on taxes and suffocating HOA's.

People 45 and under know it’s a lost cause. 1st decade of my adult life was 25%+ of my income into ETFs while living with parents. It’s giving gens of DINKs as birthrates collapse.

Edit: Btw this isn’t just a left wing perspective. I’m probably farther right than this entire panel and I’m here to tell you it’ll only get worse if the housing affordability crisis isn’t fixed. Boomers won’t fix it though they’ll just tell us to work harder as nursing home and hospital resources are strained beyond what they can handle.

Fox is so full of it. Nobody DECIDED not to BUY. Nobody is "socking their money away" in the stock market, dude. Delusional.

Its so amazing they don't realize what's really going on. You need to start looking into these builders. They have gotten away with so much. They make so much more money than we could ever even imagine they all take advantage of the illegals and are profiting off each contractor plus the builder fee and just keep getting away with it. A ranch shouldn't cost half a million dollars anywhere in the world let alone rural America. We call it a crisis iys just builders charging way to much amd get away with ot. To top that off they run them with apps wich means they cut out several salaries yet prices don't come down. Wake up stop buying new houses. Noone even needs a new house. Shut these bastards down its up to us cunsomers

I love how they don't mention reverse splits and American foreign manipulation like they don't exist when they absolutely do. The stock market conman of 2020 was pardoned earlier this year having been convicted and served 0.00 days in jail or prison

I’m Gen Z and don’t really see why older people have always viewed houses as investments. Sure, there are some tax breaks you get and it does appreciate, but the stock market provides much higher returns and doesn’t come with the expenses that come with owning a house (property taxes, maintenance costs, HOA fees, interest, etc.).

The problem is wages and feminism. Everything goes up year by year and wages don’t. Each new generation has it more difficult than previous generations. And since feminism has confused women. Birth rates are crashing. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. 🤦‍♂️🧐

The housing market is out of control with overvaluation period how long and how loud do we have to scream this before something changes

What I fear is that when the housing market finally crashes the stock market is going to fall behind and a lot of these people whose entire livelihood is tied up in stocks are going to lose everything

It's not that if they wouldn't or would care about their community and have an owner mentality. It's that owning a home is so far from reality that their isn't an option but to rent. Owning is in the category now of wanting to be a millionaire, everyone wants to be one but only 1% obtain that dream

@JavierVargas-m1p
@

Stocks literally always go up. What do you think happens after a bear market????

@bibby3027
@

Usually renters don’t care at all about the neighborhood- the people or the land.
They usually (and rightly so) do not upkeep anything etc.
it’s necessary to rent sometimes but it’s not good for society if it’s the majority in your community.

As an Older Zoomer , yeah that's true!

“Only go up generation”- wasn’t that boomers? Yeah, there was a blip in 87, 2003, big 2008, but generally it’s just gone up massively. And I believe those 03 and 08 issues were boomers inflating the market and some people making boat loads of money, no?

Anyway, no one can afford a house. Gimme a break. The younger generation wants a future not more shiny things.

Houses are not investments they are equity vehicles. You will never earn a profit especially if you bought it on a mortgage
