A stupid point but the conquistador had a cuirass on why not break the bottle on the cuirass ,it's metal isn't it , surely a glass bottle won't dent it that much

Meh. Can't say pretty much but meh about this movie.
Didn't find it very "stressfull" or "creepy", some characters feels..awfully off, as if the movie was closer to a comedy than an horror movie. I've found it way too long for the few stuff that are actually happening, ...
Don't know why. Really not a bad movie, just..didn't got in, for whatever reason.

You have to do Oddity. I remember going to the cinema to watch Oddity, and I was the only soul in the theater prior to it starting. I did not notice any other moviegoers until I was resetting my chairs recline to leave Oddity due to me being scared....
Fortunately, I noticed more folks in the cinema, and I decided not to embarrass myself by running out of the theater. That would have been gold as I am 6'7" and 285 pounds. jajaja.

The latter is honestly the best part. I hate a predictable movie, but I honestly had no idea what the hell would happen next in this movie

@josephacevedo9631You don't hallucinate random people or any objects on mushrooms. Reality bends and twists, but aberrations don't appear out of nowhere; you'd have to be on a ton of shrooms, like unable to talk to walk level of tripping, the did he see it on shrooms thing is quite stupid.
@guysmiley8223So the witch didn't take Fiona because she wasn't a little girl but she took Mal instead? And was preparing Ohm for later as well (that's why she shackled him and didn't kill him on the spot)
It makes no sense! Fiona was pregnant so she kinda had a baby in her. So I don't understand why Fiona was not taken to the demons/hell as well.

We rented the movie last night and the subtitles said it was Ohm's mom who called out to Fergal when the hotel was on fire. We thought that was interesting.

@IHJelloI don't normally like being harsh on movies like this but I genuinely thought this was a big buttload of ass. If you wanna see adam scott as a one dimensional asshole with a very weak payoff that answers zero questions go for this movie
i trudged through to the end after wanting to shut it off almost immediatley after adam started speaking and it was 100% not worth my time. it introduces a bunch of weird elements and then just never explains any of them
if you want a good adam scott horror movie try Krampus. If you want a legit spooky movie, this directors previous work Caveat and Oddity are far far far far far better.

That’s an instant like right there brother.
I think the boy from his story moreso represents his inner child. When he drinks from the flask, he is inconsiderate of the boy, believing that his childish self deserves nothing. This represents how he numbs his own senses to ignore the pain from his childhood.
By the end, he has acknowledged the pain from his childhood, which is why the character then reconsiders hurting the boy (who he had been punishing in real life) and instead tells the boy to smash his skull, demonstrating he can now put the blame aside. The boy refuses to hurt him and then they are able to embrace- a symbol that his adult self can now reconcile with his younger self.

@quirogatnonerrat3214I like the idea that the rams skull and the bottle at the end were right next to each other. It could signify that if the conquistador and the boy walked in the right direction they can find a solution to open the bottle & find the treasure. But instead its ending mirrors Ohm coming to terms with everything he's done and the sins of his father

@anantphogat3029How did the shutter get locked again by itself? Jerry unlocked it and Mal follows after, so the shutter was still open and since Jerry had the key, there's no way the shutter could have been locked again by Mal or anyone else. Clearly, it locked itself, but how is that possible? A self-locking shutter doesn't seem realistic.
