Still have yet to meet a single person who regrets not getting COVID jabbed, Mr Professor 😅💉

— @bigtomboye

Let me spin you a yarn about the history behind my favorite acronym ever: SPQR.

It's Rome time.

Paradox 😂

— @benquinneyiii7941

(Yes, I've already made some videos about Rome. This is me replacing those videos with way better videos. Enjoy your nice, shiny new series on Rome! It's the Roma-pocalypse.)

Watch the Punic Wars here: https://youtu.be/2yB2_NN7myI

Tomatos are native to South America and didn't make it to Europe until the 1500s. What kind of sauce did Aeneas have on his pizza?

"The transition to a republic was more of a reorganization of authority than a political revolution."

United States: sounds cool, think I'll steal that idea.

Can you talk about the Etruscans?

The plebs ruined everything and we all know it.

To be fair the vast majority of the Roman Republic's wars were by definition defensive. Of course when you treat real life like a paradox game and send out defensive guarantees in every direction you get a lot of justifications for war. Still good on them on playing the victim "You attack my poor innocent ally of... uh... let me get my list out... Capua and after I protect them you agree to be my friend only to later attack me? What kind of friend are you? I'm sorry but I have to garrison your city and demand that you raise 3,000 soldiers whenever Rome goes to war."

I like to follow up the saying "Rome wasn't built in a day" with "but it sure as hell burned in one." immediately after.

I got so f**cking happy cause I saw that they gave us this video in school, needless to say that was the day my teacher went from pretty cool to oh my f**cking god, it’s Jesus reincarnated.

@pexavex7295

Centuries of no political violence huh?
Violence was a part of Roman politics from the beginning, do you really thing Romulus just disappeared (taken by the gods) as the the senate explained?
Remember a lot of historical records where lost when the Celts first vacationed in the city of Rome!

I dont like how he makes it appear as though the Romans intentionally and knowingly expanded at a slow rate for the purpose of stability. It didn't. It's just happenchance. It's not 1 big plot / plan / conspiracy / whatever.

@Hoodspidey1

“The republic will be reorganized into the first Roman Empire!” Sound familiar

@fred.o8891
@

When u say the plebeians and patricians were equal, u forget to mention its specifically politicay equal, social status was still very much dependant on your heritage and family.

@keesvanatteveld5294
@

There are some inaccuracies in this. They did not salt Carthage, that is a myth. Sardinia and Corsica were also not annexed after the first Punic war. They were annexed after the mercenary wars when several of Carthage’s provinces revolted.
