Here’s how America’s immigration policies have a racist past

Video Overview & Insights

Same dream different reality?

Its all was motivated by race and economics. Specifically to keep the African African race from expanding. More AA per population in 1865 than today.

— @dwaynebrewton9482

The topic aims to explain how and why U.S. immigration policies have been racially biased—both historically and in modern times. This includes discriminatory laws, unequal treatment of immigrants based on race or nationality, and the impact of these policies on different communities.

Foundational Black Americans(FBA's) do not have an immigrant story; istead FBA's have an ethnogenesis origin.

A nation of a hundred different races isn't a nation at all. America's Founding Fathers understood that, which is why the Naturalization Act of 1790 was a thing

There is a difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration. One is a criminal and the other is a law abiding person.

Its rather hilarious to be criticized in America by German state media - even while Germany commits cultural self-destruction. Germans are big on rules amd order. Come here legally and contribute or get out. Whats so hard to understand? What garbage.

You're dummies. You ever see those "africa unite" flags or black people from america who want to go back to africa. Does that include white people? What if people were immigrating from the U.S. because of an emergency situation and they are from south america. Do you think they would accept south americans back faster than Americans. People are trying to get European citizenships now but mostly for money, and to hide money like corporations do in Ireland. The ways the rules work is if your parents were Italian immigrants for example you can get a citizenship almost right away while other Americans have to wait. Is that racist. What if it was citizenship in an African country. They have this argument in Portugal and there people there from Angola like Rafael Leao. But if we are going back to angola who is going to have an easier time getting Angolan citizenship? Internationally everyone has some kind of right by decent to citizenship that isn't the same for everyone. But that's also good because it's a reason other than money, and it's not exactly race either. If you were born in Angola to Angolan citizens and white you would still be a citizen.

Another example is Francis Inganou. He had to sneak in from Africa and got sent back several times but to go back to his country of origin it's easy for him but hard for me. You're not rational. you want people to be able to jump around like Ukrainian mail order bride prostitutes.

You should read up about Angel Island in San Francisco. It’s equivalent to the Ellis Island in NY. There were concentration camps specifically for Chinese immigrants. Many Chinese immigrants were held on the island for their whole life and never were allowed to set foot in mainland U.S.

The United States is not perfect, but compared to other countries, it is the most generous when it comes to immigration, why China ,Russia ,Japan, Korea don't take any migrants from Africa or Arab countries, the inhabitants from those areas said ,because they are racist.

Well, racist or not, the United States of America since its foundation, has always been a successful country thanks to the highly skilled immigrants preferred and allowed in throughout its history. Immigration policies may have been controversial but that's the way America has been handling newcomer arrivals through permissive or tough different presidents. Much of the current administration's actions against the immigration issue are just unprecedented.

The USA has always been like that, just read history. Like White ¨¨Ämericans¨¨ are European, people know that.

You Europeans should know better than to single out the meaning of the name "America" for a single country. How would you like to hear that the name "European" would only apply to one country and leave out the rest??

There was a strong religious motivation for the laws that classified Italians, Croats, Hungarians, and Poles (especially Catholics) as lazy, drunkards, and stupid people and allowed a quota of a few hundred people.

The National Socialist states of America always like to point fingers at other nations. Perhaps it is their guilt.

America wasn’t built by immigrants — it was built by enslaved Black Americans(ADOS). That’s the foundation, not a footnote.
Mass immigration today doesn’t always equal progress — in many cases, it undermines it. We’ve seen waves of cheap, exploitable labor brought in to replace American workers, especially Black Americans who are pushed to the back of the hiring line. Whether it’s scab labor or documented cases of academic dishonesty like the Asian cheating scandals, these trends erode standards, wages, and trust.
You can’t claim to uplift the nation while sidelining the very people who built it. Progress isn’t just about growth — it’s about justice, equity, and protecting the citizens who paid the highest price for this country’s wealth.

@omarvaldez2019

While there is a racist element to it, our immigration system is being abused, and too many people are coming in at once, and with no vetting or background checks. It was a stupid move to allow this for as long as we have. We went to one extreme, allowing this many unvetted people into the country and now we’re going to the other extreme to course correct. The whole thing is ridiculous and should never have happened in the first place.

They whine about America being racist but yet do everything in their power to live in America. By the way, the executive director of this news cast Faiz Shakir is married to a white-American woman. They are always hypocrites.

I always roll my eyes when I hear 'merkins go on about "national security". They are completely inherently insecure. Otherwise, why do they need to arm themselves with more guns than there are people? Or spy on their own people? Or their governments jackbooting across the population? (although that last one is spreading globally around western nations)

@hpoonis2010
@

Bottom line: The rest of the world is documenting how racist the US Government is in the present day (2025).

@DelayedGrats
@

One thing this video didn't cover is how native Americans....Who populated the entire North American continent in the 1500's were reduced to less than 2% by the 21st century.....How is this even mathematically possible.... Without state sponsored mass murder & systemic genocide & genocidal state- policues for hundreds of years !!!!....The white population of USA has committed & is still wanting to commit (If not for world media) crimes against humanity 😭😭😭!!
