I tried Firebase and it is limited as shit. Nothing can be downloaded. If I want to make an app for my need and run it on my gear, I must manually copy code for each file. It is free cause you cannot leave their space. I want to be in control of my app on my server, not on their. It built me some UI, but I cannot take that app and just copy files on my server and run it. What is the point of it? I am not a developer. I just want some code tool to build me an app, make a docker compose file and just run it on my server so mobile apps can connect to that backend and sync files and all other things I need. How can i do this if I am not a developer and want to do this just by describing to an AI coder how shoul app look and how to function?

This is a solid list, didn’t expect all of these to actually be free. Nice comparison to tools like Cursor and Lovable without the paywall. Good overview if you’re into vibe coding or building full stack apps without code. Also once you start shipping or sharing demos from these tools, something simple like Tiiny Host makes it easy to get previews online fast. Good video overall.
