My husband has the same difficulty with clarity, not the volume. He says I often mumble, but I think it's more the background sounds that interfere with our communication.

🇨🇦 I believe parasites are the cause of most hearing loss. So I take Ivermectin and or Fenbendazole once a month two days before the full moon. For prevention of all this bullshit. If you get a test of hearing loss and then get a very expensive hearing aid. Please remember repeat the test and have them prove to you that it actually made the difference you were expecting. Just because you could hear something better doesn’t mean you can understand what people are saying. Please do your research before you pay the big bucks. Just saying.🥩🧈🥓🥚😋
@benjamincrooker2533So, you are just trying to sell a brand of hearing aids.
@popstone116i call BS on the idea that if a hearing aid increases the volume of certain frequencies that you can hear those frequencies. Once you lose the ability to hear a certain frequency it doesn't matter how loud you make it you can't hear it. This is a fact
@chiefline7084Buy a pair for 53 euros from shein
@ioannhsalloimonos5726TV watching is main problem even with table microphones
@HardevSingh-nc8wyThis problem is effecting my life. I have Starkey’s wireless AI16 RIC li-on V 5257 in both ears. Clearly of understanding is main problem
Please advise
Good video and excellent advertisement.
@chuckallen9778Will the amplification of the higher frequencies cause the inside hairs to become more insensitive to those frequencies with continued use? What is going on if you hear rattling in your ears with certain sounds? Thank you for this video.
@richardphillips2405So essentially a commercial. I hear that.
@dfizzbomMy problem is when people talk, it sounds like listening to a busted speaker; it sounds like a crackling.
@splender88They do sound differently in movies now than 50 years ago. If I turn one of these new movies on I have to turn the volume up to almost maximum. Then when a commercial comes on the TV is blasting. You have to have the correct speaker system to get good sound out of movies now. And, I have a landline phone and a cell phone. I can hear much better out of the landline phone.
@mikev4755Yes sir, you do have a room that is great with acoustics soundproof from the outside world. At my doctor's office when I'm in a soundproof room I can hear well with my new hearing aid. But once I walk out of that soundproof room into the world of noise all I hear is noise. Cars, wind, dishes banging in restaurants etc etc the world of noise is a lot different than your soundproof room I can assure you.
@twilightzone-f4nI think it's important to note that when something is missed, most of the conversation was heard, but the context is not understood, so when talking to someone with hearing loss, it's important to start and be clear with the context so the person can compare what they heard with what they know it might have been. Restating the context first and clearly narrows down what the sentence might have been. Sometimes missing one word without the context results in not understanding the entire sentence. So when repeating the sentence, start with the context of the idea you are trying to communicate. One word lost changes everything in that sentence because the context was not known.
@MacBirchHearing AIDS ARE NEEDED FOR MANY ELDERLY PATIENT. BUT HEARING AID INDUSTRY HAS LOT OF CON ARTISTS! THE HEARING AIDS ARE HIGH MARK UP PRODUCTS AND MANY UNSCRUPULOUS SELLERS. THE COST CAN RUN FROM LOW END PRODUCTS TO AS HIGH AS $ 4000.00 ! AND YES HUGE MARK UP. AND THEY PAY OFF POLITICIANS FOR SCHEME TO CONTINUE. YOU GET MAILING EVERY 2-3 WEEKS AFTER THEY SOMEHOW FIND OUT YOUR AGE IS ABOVE 60-65 YEARS ! IT IS AS BAD AS TIME SHARE INDUSTRY ! 👎👎😀😀✅✅🌅🌅,
@shodhanpatel3505Thank you so much sir god bless you 😊
@nikil07khatriI had Resound and had to get them repaired every 4 months.
@thomashackley4719I have a speech problem myself and I can't understand what people saying when they not close to me I've been like that ever since I was a little kid
@parthenia178Most people I can understand on the phone but not in person
@JimmyDolittle-dm4gcHearing with clarity. We'll i agree it's a big problem. Mumbles seems to be problem. Voice mail on these phones are hard to understand. Talkl fast or not speaking loud enough .price of hearing aids is another money pit. Like eye glasses we are being minulated by the system knowing all is important to our survial.
Hartless greed 😢😢😢😢
really struggling with my situation. shot at a deer November of 24 and had a TTS. hearing came back but its not the same, feel like i have a unilateral issue but the audiogram is normal in both ears with a slight difference. losing my mind, obsessed with the thought of never being the same and be normal again. affecting work and isolating. no idea what to do. a plain audiologist just dosent do it for me.
@danh3259If my ears can't process those consonant sounds, what good does it do to amplify them?
@mikev4755Thanks for the info, I have Phonak hearing aids. Sometimes they work good and other times not so much. In a busy restaurant I hear 90 percent of everyone but can’t understand 90 percent. Once I get frustrated with not understanding words people are saying I just shut them off and act like I hear. I need to get together with my doctor and get this hearing issue worked out. Thanks. Another thing everything you said in your video I heard clearly, when I watch tv I struggle.
@robertswick7654Can hear well but in a crowd things get difficult
@Adam-oy1vpYou and majority of people speak much to quickly. Think before you speak please
@DerekBraniganTinnitus overshadows this and can not be fixed.
@jayroberts9103so what is the solution ?!?!?!?!
@amramhakohen3923One thing I learned the hard way (almost) is around notable or profound hearing loss in only one ear. My ENT explained that loss in one ear is rarely due to environmental reasons. In my case (and about 1 in 100,000 people) it is caused by a tumour called a vestibular schwannoma, also known as an acoustic neuroma, which is a slow-growing, benign (noncancerous) tumor that forms on the vestibulocochlear nerve, which connects the inner ear to the brain, affecting balance and hearing. I started to lose hearing, and more importantly understanding of words, in my right ear. The little tumor has an interesting side effect that makes soft sounds, like “sh” or “ff” hard to understand. You hear a different word than what was said in one ear and the correct word in the other and your brain tries to figure it out. I had no idea that this existed and didn’t do anything about if for a couple years while my hearing got worse in the one ear. My ENT found it via MRI and it has stopped growing for now and is somewhat stable. Been living with it for over 5 years and my brain has adapted to figure out what is being said most of the time. It does make for some funny conversations at other times. It should be taken seriously though as the tumour can impact the brain stem if it gets too big or snap all the nerves in the ear causing total deafness, balance issues and face paralysis.
@Blaine-c5vThat isn’t the problem at all. I can hear what people are saying I just can’t understand what they’re saying on the television.
@jacklipshin6486I hate watching movies when you can barely hear the person speaking because the back ground music is three times louder and no its not my hearing. A lot of people have been complaining about this.
@catfish24dude is just straight up doing paid sponsorships for hearing aids and telling us we can trust what he says about hearing aids lol 🤡🤡🤡
@mihaibulic2374Resound Nexia have many models, can you make a video on which is which? Thank you, another great informative video.
@BumbleBee666-u5tI CAN HEAR BUT NOT UNDERSTAND…. They are speaking Chinese..
@AlCatrrazModern movies and TV shows are definitely more difficult to understand than they used to be. I can watch old movies and classic TV and understand everything fine, whereas modern stuff sounds like the high end is being broadcast through a towel.
@wolflahti412So this is just a really long ad for your sponsor?
@gwine9087Understood every word that was spoken in the presentation. Does that mean i do hot have a clarity issue?
@hardymccollumThank you for this video. I found it useful for me.
@jp6234Sometimes our ears need glasses.
@robertklund3201What about tinnitus? that's where my problem comes in. hissing is a problem for me...
@jerrybaker1370My friend has ReSound hearing aids. He still doesn’t hear much. Can they be tweaked for better performance?
@margethomas1725How does the clarity on the Phonak Sphere Ultra compare to the clarity on the Resound? I just recently purchased the Sphere. Thank you.
@DMCOGBURNHearing aids are overpriced, thieves. 😮
@chiefjoseph8154Unfortunately, most of my hearing loss also comes with a large amount of tinnitus.
I hear, crickets and cicadas, 24/7
Amazing explanation. Thank you.
.
My consultant at audiology liked your video, a lot. But, its all about money I'm afraid. My hearing aids support about 75% of my needs, any more means private treatment. But good advertising video.
@FA58URYHere is the thing or should I say "hear is the thing".. . I am like you say I can hear but some people and TV shows I cannot understand...but your video I understood every word that you said, also on TV sports announcers I can understand every word as well as radio announcers. But people who mumble their words are not clear and people talking too fast and without good clarity are impossible to process. I am truly thinking that my problem is that my brain is old and cannot process fast enough for it to understand these people and most TV shows.
@walterdowns9978All this is an infomercial for the brand he's promoting. My hearing aids come from the VA. Free, due to my service connected hearing loss.
