I don’t like it , I am English , I don’t have patriotic feelings about America, but there is some subject matter that should be left alone, you can’t embellish it , however high calibre words smith he is , I can’t listen to it , I try to , but then I stop it mid sentence. My belief is the President was murdered by out lawed organized crime syndicate , because he was breathing down their necks and onto them , trying to cease their activities and it wasn’t anything to do with democracy or real political thinking in the free world, it was just evil crime , don’t go there Dylan, not even you could propose adequate words about it and I switched Dylan off on that subject because I cannot bear to hear anymore.

I remember that night at midnight when Dylan unexpectedly without warning dropped this song. I listen to it about five times between midnight and 3:00 in the morning first thing I remember is people trying to figure out when he recorded it based on Dylan's cryptic message some people said it was an outtake from 2012 LOL turns out Dylan recorded it in 2020 but he wanted to have some fun with all of the dylanologists who were insisting that the song was 8 years old LOL! Next all of us Blown Away by all of the music and cultural references soon within a few weeks the people who dissect all of Dylan's song said they were 70 or 80 music and general references at first it seemed to be about the Kennedy assassination the most recent time I've listened to it it almost seems like It Was Written from the point of view of a American who wandered into a bar with a jukebox or maybe he went home and called up his radio station and wanting to be healed to come to be comforted after the Kennedy assassination and the best way he could find to make sense of things was to hear dozens and dozens and dozens of classic songs so he was requesting these songs as a way of making sense and possibly to start the healing process of a damaged individual and a damaged Nation
