Have Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari FINALLY clicked? | Up To Speed
Video Overview & Insights
Lewis Hamilton fighting with Max Verstappen at the Canadian Grand Prix was the throwback we all wanted to see.
Stop saying Max is a great....what has he done great, getting to score in an empty net to decide the championship?
He is really Vettel 2.0, given a clear advantage with the best car, which they even cheated to develop without facing much penalty for cheating. What has Max done he won those 3 championships in a similar way as Vettel did, and he accepted the stolen 2021 title with an asterisk.
Yes, he is "great again," Like Trump....Everything in common there....media would like us to ignore the similarities!
Is this a new, friendlier, chapter to the bitter rivalry from 2021? Is Lewisā mum his lucky charm after a second podium in five races for Ferrari this season? Why has Lewis ditched the simulator?
For the first time? Where have you been he has over 100 wins and like 300 podiums idk how you missed it if itās your job to follow formula 1 nobody thinks itās weird that the first time since 21 Lewis has had a competitive car is this year and heās doing great and every year since the robbery heās had a terrible car and the medias been calling for his retirement and saying heās finished in fact they were way more interested in that than covering the robbery of a 7 time champion they went straight to narrative control with the Hamilton fans and the controversial Abu Dhabi 2021 finale⦠it doesnāt take a Hamilton fan to know you donāt change the rules of a sport on the last race with 3 laps to go it was theft and now we get some more narrative control acting as if the talent came back to his body like the first space jam when the aliens stole the nba players talent nobody without great white hope syndrome is buying this BS and I pray to god that Ferrari comes through with this engine upgrade so we can see the goat correct the narrative and dominate these white plutocrats in a Ferrari and raise the bar higher than white/ wealth privilege can reach straight up nothing made me happier after that P2 when I realized thereās millions of racists in turmoil over this today I had a great week and if he wins in Monaco and Ferrari executes the upgrades we are going to see history made I would also like to say that Iām happy for Kimmy but every time Louis podium, he sets another record every time like Kimmy has to keep up the streak. Louis doesnāt have to. He doesnāt need a streak every win every second place every third place raising the bar of the sport and for some reason, the F1 media seems to forget that I donāt need people to ignore Kimmyās achievement to acknowledge Lewises, but it feels weird when they acknowledge Kimmyās and donāt also acknowledge that. Oh hey, the whole record for the sport has just been raised again. that first Ferrari oneās gonna be special. I hope itās in Monaco.
And later, Will spills the beans on his chat with Lando Norris after that dramatic Indy 500.
I just wondered this, but I feel like Ferrari might have forced him to use the simulator his first year there which might be the reason why he struggled, maybe Iām wrong. But it certainly entered my mind honestly.

27:00 Naomi, then why did the FIA introduce the pre race start procedure to takeaway the advantage which ferrari had built into their engine?
Step inside sportās greatest soap opera, Formula One. Hosted by Drive to Survive star Will Buxton, racing driver-turned-broadcaster Naomi Schiff, 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard, and presenter & content creator Jolie Sharpe.
Expect razor-sharp reaction, behind-the-scenes insight, blockbuster interviews and answers to the questions youāve always wanted to ask! With their deep knowledge, expert analysis and infectious love for racing, Will, Naomi, DC & Jolie dive into the stories that matter - on and off the track.
Itās fast-paced, unfiltered and full of the gossip that keeps the paddock buzzing.
Max's no where near Lewis in terms of talent and achievement, and more importantly, Max's so disrespectful !!
Theyāll react to the weekend's race drama every Monday. On Thursday theyāll deep dive into the biggest stories of the week.
4:12 Not having Michael Massi to look the other way anymore is not growth. If you care to listen to the POS speak, youāll know heās still a petulant infant. 5:56 Exactly! Imagine instead of one POS and one absolute class, this was two POSs. We wouldnāt be throwing around words like āgrowthā, āmaturityā, and ārespectā.

The only duo I will ever need š
@sinana.548212:45 I would love to hear an episode about Sim work and what all the F1 drivers use and their setups.
@paulf4622021 was the best year of F1 in the history.
And the most convincing year of Hamilton's best-of-all-time-ness.
In my mind - Hamilton proved himself deeply that season.
In my mind - Hamilton won that season.
On raw merit.
Love this formulaš
@colectingareaIt's always a bit weird to think about how big the age gap between Lewis and Max really is. Whether it's because Max started really young, so he feels much older to me than people like Charles or George, and Lewis looks and acts so cool (for lack of a better term), plus his prime wasn't that long ago, so he feels much younger. It's just crazy to know that Max is closer in age to Arvid than he is to Lewis.
Loved this duo btw! Will and Naomi bounce off each other super well and the convo had such good flow
Didn't will want lewis kicked out of ferrari? Stay on that side.
@OnirukeriveAkporMonaco is prestigious because of history and glitz and royalty hosting. Itās not been a GOOD race in a quarter of a century - it would be better as a non-points show race/F1 gala event. I donāt think itās really been an exciting, top GP circuit since the era when James Garner was racing there!
@TrevorandTheaDirect comparisons are difficult for Monaco, Indy 500 and LeMans. All driving in these are difficult. However, just in terms of core differences Monaco = 78 laps, 162 miles avg speed 93mph; Indy 500 = 200 laps, 500 miles, avg speed 169, LeMans = about 400 laps, about 300 miles, avg speed 140, and 24 hours. Monaco just doesn't match up in comparison, as great of a race as it is.
@pritchardhallNaomi needs to leave, so tired of listening to heR talk about how great she was and constantly steering the conversation towards herself.
@Sun-Seeker88don't agree about the Indy 500, it's meaningless outside of the US
@paulsbellOnce I noticed Wills mic, I canāt unsee it. I know itās an optical illusion but it looks hilariously large š
@scooter.mcgrooterDang Naomi, you should actually sing for the opening more often š¤
@haoletimes46Naomi saying she was "on her eis" when she raced first in Europe sounds like a colloquial Afrikaans expression. Cool to hear, regardless if true or not. Cool podcast, thank you team!
@PieterBreedheard PTSD used casually with a laugh. GROSS.
not a good look to use serious mental health issues as a punchline when many on the grid have spoken out about it often(llewis, and lando), and recently(valterri, esteban, and others). naomi is better than that, and hope wont be using these terms flippantly in the future.
I'd love to see Lando competing for the triple crown.
@cocounterbergerin39easier podcast to listen to when its 2 people. Especially Naomi and Buxton, feels like watchin F1 TV backstage from a few years ago.
@timytimeerasedI feel like we have this exact same conversation about five times a year. Lewis shows a little something and everybody freaks out and says heās back and then the next race his dog shit again.
@DerekS1978It's nonsense to suggest winning one race is up there with winning a world championship.
The Indy 500 is obviously known as a big event, but outside the US nobody actually knows or cares who wins, even if they check out the race.
F1 world champions are on a far higher level in motor sport
cool show
@hanrol1Natalie Pinkham did an amazing interview with Nicholas Hamilton for Sky - definitely give the full interview a watch ā¤
@anniekane3827Punishing good work for Ferrari only you mean...
@torquethetalkNigel finished 3rd in 1993⦠letās talk racing!
@ravBuffaloNaomi - be like Katherine Legge!
@ravBuffaloWhen are we getting the Lando Norris interview from Indy? Is Harvick part of the interview? Letās talk racing. Also, great interview by Will and Kevin with Felix! Letās talk racing! Safe travels to Detroit!
@ravBuffaloFerrari et hamilto“ de la merde
@bakirmegueni9847Fools never differ!!!
@stevefuller1779Love the 005 but good choice not using them for technical trails. I sprained my big toe badly last August when I kicked a stone. Still hurts! No protection for the toes with these shoesā¦they have been relegated to some pricey leisure shoes now.
@MonteComeauMonaco is just different now. Itās the whole weekend instead of just the race. Qualifying is now the most exciting bit as getting pole means very likely of a win
@GameofClones7567You two are awesome. I could watch you both for hours!
@georgianacoller3063Lay off Will, its nice seeing his love for Indy.. and I'm loving him so unhinged, especially talking his mind on F1 without filter š
@benjaminclarke3676My problem with Indy 500 that it's mostly about strategy and random yellow flags, very rarely best drivers are winning.
@A87BWill, please for the love of god, replace that curdled milk with white paint or something š¤¢
@GregYaworskiNo Unser Andretti or Mears in a race and I missed it WTF
@mikebishop-y1zSo pissed when Scott Goodyear came up so short
@mikebishop-y1zI watched JV win the Indy 500 and and two championship
@mikebishop-y1zLewis had a good race but Iām kinda sick of him saying everything is amazing when he gets a result and the cars terrible if he doesnāt get a result
@tomasunden9398Lewis is a fantastic driver, fighter, and does not want to be out of the lime light. Watching Max and Lewis go at it was class! But give us a break Max wants to leave F1 while Lewis found a new way to be in the limelight
@michealfinane4448Fantastic commentary during the Indy 500 š
Those final laps were absolutely historic.
ADUO is so stupid. So you can't upgrade your engine if you're only a little behind but if you're very behind you can do more? I get that they don't want an arms race but the system locks in whomever did the best job at the go as being the best does it not?
@TheBucketOfTruthAmazing episode thank you so much, already looking forward to the next one x
@SallySunshineStudioWasn't the consensus that ADUO gets pronounced as a word, not as 4 invididual letters?
@PaddyFullyRandomef you lbc for this crap in my feed
@TrueSeanjaLewis is just not a sim racer. He just not have the same feeling. So i hope he keeps doing what he did in Canada, keep thru to his race feelings. I think he will take some wins this year. Have a great dayš
