Went to Brussels on the summer of 2025 with my girlfriend. Unfortunately we found it to be a negative experience. Dirty city, lots of homeless, and dodgy streets. I do not recommend to anyone looking to go as a tourist!

I traveled through Western Europe 4x, lived in UK twice. These extraordinary cities, communities were once so beautiful. But 40 years back in my youth, countries still required passport at each border/canton. There was no free flow of illegal migrants, community degradation, urine or feces!

Can you imagine cities like London once fined people who were caught littering? The less people are held accountable for poor behavior & crime, the only direction is down.

And being poor doesn’t need to mean living in filth, allowing squalor. I highly doubt any of the EU folks live in places like Molenbeek. Or walk through urine covered train station areas.

And your Dutch guide, is it Vreet? It’s so nice to see you dressed well, nice slacks, sweater. It sure stands out when so many dress slovenly, cover their heads etc. And allowing birqua wearing in Europe is just gobsmacking. It’s not their home, it’s yours!
