About Netflix:

I have a yogurt strain made from Yakult. It cures my indigestion, Diarrhea and my gut health is never been the same. I've tried Greek yogurt and others but it doesn't have the cure I need. I made my yogurt from powdered milk (creamy Fern leaf brand), boiled water and brown sugar and after it cooled I mix the strain and save some for the next batch.

Hack Your Health: The Secrets of Your Gut | Official Trailer | Netflix

I have crohns disease and I was sick for 3yrs. Drs know ZERO about gut health and the more antibiotics they throw at you the more it kills the good and bad bacteria in the gut making you even more sick.

I went off all the meds when I found the specific carbohydrate diet and within 3 mo I was symptom free. I am now 10yrs in remission and I am not on any meds.

The diet explains how to reset the gut biom through diet and cutting out ALL sugars. Lactose, sucrose, fructose...no flour was able to be eaten besides coconut or almond flour. You go though a die off phase and it sucks because you are killing off the bad bacteria that is creating the imbalance in the gut. You even have to make everything homemade...no processed garbage and even make yogurt as the store bought is just sugar and has zero benefits due to the preservatives for the shelf life. Its strict but works.

The book is called BREAKING THE VICIOUS CYCLE.

Coprophilia is a diagnosis in psychiatry. Read about it. Also, any bacteria can be grown in a medium; it’s not necessary to eat each other's feces. It's terrifying what is happening to people.

Please dont ignore education

Autism is not a gut disease, it is a way of being and thinking. It makes me so sad that Netflix helps spread misinformation like that. Many people with autism have stress and cortisol - the stress hormone influences your digestion. They have stress due to being sensitive, and that there is not yet the acceptance of different ways of being that is needed. Data can be misread.

I enjoyed every second of this documentary. I think we need to be more aware of the basic things in our life, such as food is, because it affects our health so, so much. Thanks for the all participants and creators to make a complicated subject so easy to understand!

This is NOTHING new. The Chinese has been taught abut this for thousand of years with their mantras: "There is NO bad food, just bad eating habits", "Eat everything... BUT... in MODERATION"!

And, the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu and Confucius both have the same teaching: "MODERATION in EVERYTHING (not only food) for happiness and longevity". In Chinese it's called Zhōng Yóng (中庸), in Vietnamese it's called Trung Dung.

Also, the Chinese herbal medicines and the Eastern health treatment always have been emphasized on treating the body as a whole along with the soul... not only one particular organ or issue like in western medicine.

Lastly, it's well-known in Greek with the ancient philosopher Hippocrates' saying: "Let food by thy medicine"
