Tired of people asking "who's listening...?"
The following is long. But I lived it all.
17 September, 1991 I stood in line at the Silverdale Mall, Radio Shack to Buy Use Your Illusions on CASSETE TAPE the day it was released. The line was almost as long as it was to get Tickets for the 06 October 1992 Guns N' Roses, Metallica and Motorhead Concert in the Seattle Kingdome; AND I WAS THERE THEN. AND I AM STILL HERE NOW.

I was there for Appetite for Destruction. And I was 1 of those that bought Guns N' Roses, Lies which is what got us through the wait for Use Your Illusions 1 and 2.

Note: Patience is a great song, but my favorite songs from Lies are ONE IN A MILLION & Guns N' Roses cover of Aerosmith's MAMA KIN.

At 15 my dad put a .410 Shotgun to my chest when I went back into his house to get my Appetite for Destruction Cassette Tape while visiting him in North Dakota.

I was from the Seattle Area. It was Ken Griffey Jr's Rookie year and none of the kids in North Dakota knew who Griffey was in June 1989. I traded all the kids in Souris, ND (population about 90 people back then) for all their Griffey Rookie Cards. I had about 50 or 60, including at least a dozen of the Upper Deck.

My dad was drunk. I was not used to being around drunks; except at West Park Lanes (Bowling Alley) and I just ignored them from my birth as I literally grew up in West Park Lanes. My first memory is my Mother helping me push a Bowling ball down the lane when I was about 2 years old.

The very first thing I learned to do after eating and walking was how to bowl.

With hundreds of dollars of Griffey Rookie Cards in my binders I refused to leave my Appetite for Destruction Cassette Tape behind because I bought it at the Minot, ND Amtrak Station when I Arrived in North Dakota.

The music belongs to all of us. It is not mine and only mine. But I was there from Guns N' Roses beginning to Guns N' Roses breakup in 1997 (Which I was Stationed in Okinawa at the time: USMC).

It broke my heart. I hated Axl so much for his behavior towards Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and especially Slash.

I remember Axl calling out Slash's heroin Addiction in October 1989 while opening for the Rolling Stones in Los Angeles. I was not there for that in person but it was all over MTV. It was really messed up. It was on MTV forever. Everyone thought Axl was going to break up Guns N' Roses.

After playing It's So Easy, Axl stated the following (cut and pasted from Google)

"Unless certain people in this band get their shit together, these will be the last Guns N' Roses shows you'll ever see. I'm tired of too many people in this organization dancing with Mr. Brownstone."

Then the band began playing Mr. Brownstone (which Everyone knows is a song written by Izzy Stradlin and Slash about Heroin Addiction.

Slash, rather than walking off, Slash faced a speaker for the rest of the concert and played the entire concert in front of that speaker.

While I write this I am listening to Waylon Jennings. Waylon is probably the most influential singer in my life; going back to my very early childhood at the beginning of elementary school.

Guns N' Roses hit the world like a Hydrogen Bomb.

And to show you Google does not know everything. Only those of us that were at the Guns N' Roses, Metallica and Motorhead Concert 06 October, 1992 what really happened.

Google says James Hetfield did not play guitar during the concert. WRONG.

Hetfield played guitar for at least 3 encores including One and Enter Sandman.

I was exhausted. I spent all of Metallica's set in the center of the Seattle Kingdome where the speakers were with my back to the chain link fence and my arms crossed over my chest protecting my vital organs because that is where the Mosh Pit moved to during Metallica's set.

But I remember James playing guitar for the encores. He did not play guitar during the main set of songs because of 3rd degree burns suffered in Montreal on 08 August, 1992.

When Guns N' Roses finally came out I was exhausted. Axl talked about trees and marijuana, lumber and then the election coming up. He hated Bush. Said Clinton would bring change, but noted Al Gore's wife was a threat to free speech.

The following transcript is from the Guns N' Roses concert when Axl was speaking about Al Gore's wife Tipper.

"If you want your records in the fucking stores you are going to have to do some fighting for it. Just like we did the fighting for, us and Metallica to make this fucking thing happen because they didn't want us to play because it was too fucking dangerous. It will take people like you to Slap a warning label over that bitches mouth."

26 years later, due to political correctness Guns N' Roses punked out and pulled One In A Million "from their 2018 Appetite for Destruction: Locked N' Loaded box set"

One In A Million is not one of Guns N' Roses top 10 songs. But it is as relevant today as it was in 1989 and belongs in the National Recording Registry.

So to all you click bait hounds.
Stop asking "who's listening" or "anyone" or any other meaningless bullshit.
I am tired if seeing it. Music changes lives.

I have done almost everything to the sounds of Guns N' Roses music. Guns N' Roses' music changed my life.

I will refrain from saying anything bad about Axl because he grew up and now the younger generations get to enjoy what I lived.
