The Grand Egyptian Museum was first announced in 1992, with construction beginning in 2005 and completion in 2023 at a cost of $1 billion to $1.2 billion. The trial opening began in October 2024, and the official opening took place on November 1, 2025. It is the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization.
The museum houses artifacts from various periods of Egyptian civilization, from the Predynastic Period to the Roman Empire. The total collection is estimated to exceed 100,000 items, with at least 20,000 being exhibited for the first time.

¿Quien ha perpetrado semejante desastre de edificio?

01:44 Ramses II Hanging Obelisk

Good for elder people to play it on a 0.85 ratio.

Faraos were the Donald Trumps of their time. Narcistic megalomaniacs who put their name and face on every surface.

Europeans and Arabs ....CONSPIRACY!
They stole BLACK PEOPLE;S(AFRICANS) history and land
and made it look like theirs!
Stop clipping the nose of BLACK KINGS and QUEENS!
EGYPTIAN CIVILIZATION was AFRICANS(KUSHITES) CIVILIZATION!

@chamanlalkalia7576Aartsengel Michael Toetachamon stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️ ♥️
@MichaelGoormans-z6w1nVisited the old museum way back in 1992! I snapped a whole reel of film(35m) of King Tuts famous mask & when it was developed back home not one photo came out - all completely blank! I believe it was ‘the curse’. The GEM looks amazing & I may have to plan my 2nd visit to Cairo next year.
@Stephentoothill-oz4erTour maravilhoso. Parabéns pela postagem.
@franciscoafonso9035A lovely and very interesting tour of the large museum.👏💫
Don't be fooled. They're there for the air conditioning... 😆😅
@TheGreatScout26Ámulatba ejtően gyönyörű minden, amit és ahogyan bemutattad videódban ezt a gigantikus kulturális egyiptomi központot, a modern várost, a muzeális ókori csodáival, disaignos kialakításával. Hálásan köszönöm ❤ Rendkívül informatív, lényegre irányító, eltörpülo infókra is kiemelten racelzol. Nagyon élveztem minden percét. Hálásan köszönöm ❤ A Régi Múzeum is lenyűgöző volt 25 évvel ezelőtt, akkor a Nílusi hajouttal szinte tökéletes élményt kaptam. A mostani videoddal ujjaeledtek a korábbi örök élményeim, rengeteg és mérhetetlen sok új infót kaptam, láttam.❤🇭🇺
@katalinkratki9014The old museum building was far more fitting. This new shiny, glossy structure might impress a clueless tourist, but for anyone who genuinely loves ancient Egyptian history—or history and culture in general—it feels like a cheap, soulless gimmick designed purely to siphon tourist money. The whole place makes me queasy; the building and its over-the-top staging seem desperate to overshadow the actual ancient artifacts.

Trop moderne a mon goût.
@MegaScarabeeI watched the video with great interest, thank you so much for everything. 🥰💐🙏
@user-qg5ur3uw8rIt’s a shame you didn’t spend more time at the Cairo Museum. That is where the mummy of Ramses II is kept, in a dimly lit room. It is a very striking sight.
@ricardocapllonch5355How far Egypt and its people have fallen since Ramesses II, much like Greece and India today when compared to their golden ages - China alone seems to be on the road back to some form of greatness. Instructive warning to the USA - heed the warnings, but of course history teaches us that no amount or severity of warning will be heeded.
@michaelmityok100115:32 that's KHEPHREN not MENKAURE pyramid
@TVReboliçoI had been thinking about taking a trip to visit the museum. After watching this, no more interest. Thanks for sharing.
@zajournalsThank you for this video because Egypt is not a place I would visit.
@FlourishingInItalianOfficialWas there May 2026. Truly amazing. Shows the Tut finds in an amazing expanded way.
