I'm Brazilian, and last month, one of my employees' Gmail credentials were stolen in a scam similar to the one in the video. The hacker managed to spend $2,000 from the Google Ads account within an hour. The hacker was also from Brazil.

I'm the sole proprietor of a small PC repair service that I started last year, I actually tried to use Google Ads to get some early exposure for my business, then found out that Google suspended them about a week later because they don't allow "Third Party Consumer Technical Support" to be advertised, because of, get this, risk of fraud... So, that's cool, my completely legitimate small business? Naaah, can't advertise that, too risky. But apparently actual fucking malware is A-Okay.

This is what always worries me for myself and my parents. My dad isn’t stupid or gullible, but even websites that look official can hack your device? I worry because everything he has is on his phones. I tell him to be careful and he tells me he knows, but I worry. My mom is the same way, I still worry because by getting hacked, they could both easily lose precious things.
