Nice flying I did a few years of glider planes 40 years ago always great to see young people picking up the hobby. Only point I have is that big hat. I'd like to have full visual 360 around me and see other gliders.

Both indtryctor and, in particular the student arev wearing brimmed hsts; the dtudent an extremely wide brimmed one. In the UK, at least when I was gliding 20 years sgo, this was strictly forbidden for obvious safety reasons. Visibility is seriiusly impaired. Don't glide with a brimmed or peaked cap on.

I really don't like to broke the roules: they flight WITHOUT PARACHUTE!!! Is absolutely mandatory to flight with parachute on glider!!!

Student requires a smaller hat brim so the instructor can see where he is going. I speak from experience...

@mosbysmenHat brims are too large. Restricted view of traffic above. You also need to be able to look directly above if you are inspecting a potential thermal cloud and, when thermalling you need to see traffic directly above you.

@bluskytooHeads UP! Never wear a hat like that huge pink thing, ever. You must be able to ALWAYS look strait up! There will be other gliders climbing in the same thermal you are in. You will smash into them because you can't see sheeeeet. So dangerous. Are teaching this to you students Mr. instructor?

@juliandayGreat video. But as others have said a beany type hat is what you want, good lookout is essential as well as being able to look up underneath a cloud. Also, I was taught to pull the release twice and visually check the rope has disconnected from the glider.
