Virginians, please take a close look at the proposed redistricting plan and what it could mean for fair representation in the Commonwealth. Redistricting can be used to draw districts that advantage one party (gerrymandering), which can weaken competitive elections, reduce accountability, and dilute the influence of some communities. While supporters describe the proposal as “leveling the playing field,” the public messaging around it indicates a clear effort to secure durable partisan control. If adopted, the plan could shift political power in ways that leave many voters—Republicans, Democrats, and independents alike—feeling less represented. For people of faith, questions of fairness, honesty, and stewardship in public life are moral concerns as well as political ones. And if decision-making becomes concentrated in a few high-population areas, the priorities of much of Virginia may carry less weight. For these reasons, vote “NO” on April 21, 2026.

Contrary to Democrat myth, Jefferson founded the Democratic-Republican Party which became the Whig and then the Republican Party. The Federalist Party that wanted the President to be a king and give government absolute power became the Democratic Party.

So what if everyone registered as Republican, but voted blue down the ticket? Should I assume that every district will have a Dem candidate & a Repub candidate.

The Exposing Truth exposes: This is really a big hue man game and some are unaware of the rules because they are unfair. Thats the name of the game. Gerrymandering is unfair but it is allowable. Trump has the rules. It requires a side to call Cheaters, however it still can be played out. Can anybody else see the rules of this bored game? It would be interesting to see the perspectives of those who have had much experience in following politics. Heres another exposed rule, voters can vote but it is a gamble. Can anybody see how to get around the Gerrymandering besides wasting Time in courts and boycotts. That Energy could go towards a better strategy. This is a strategic game. I myself can see the surface, some of you are still deep into the experience. I am led to witness.

@BabyjoojooFOR ANYONE WHO COULD HELP ME UNDERSTAND, PLEASE. I am an Italian guy who and I am interested in how the elections in the US work. I guess I figured out more or less the general basis, BUT still, there's one thing that I must be missing here and I can't wrap my head around, and it has to do with these congressional districts.
So here it is:
If I got it right, a candidate takes one state if they get even just one more vote than the other, so let's just make an hypothetical scenario. Let's take Oklahoma (which has 5 congressional districts) and only for the purpose of this example let's say there are a total of 100 people voting for each district.
Now let's say that Republicans take 291 votes while Democrats 209, this means Republicans are taking the whole state of Oklahoma and the 5 electors and 2 senators go to Republicans, correct?
Ok great, now again, let's imagine that the congressional districts votes were divided in this way: 4 congressional districts were won by Democrats 51 to 49 and the remaining district was won by Republicans 95 to 5 (I know it's an absurd scenario but I am just doing it as an example)
Now, the situation we have here is that Republicans won with 291 votes over 209 BUT they get away with only one district out of 4.
So let's say now someone in the Republican party wants to put hands on the map of the districts and change them more equally so that also other districts will be Republican by majority and let's say they can get away with 4 districts with this new 'gerrymandering'.
Now my question is, wouldn't they still win in the same way like before? I mean, if you win a state by taking more votes on the total votes of the state, what is the purpose of redrawing the district shape?
For sure there's something I am missing but I don't get what, because in my head both scenarios I drew last with a Republican winning, and I really don't see the point of this 'gerrymandering'
If someone would be so kind to explain me this (which I can't seem to find anywhere) I'd be immensely grateful ❤
Excellent. Congrats to the team who put this together.

@Jerrauexgerrymandering in college football too gahhh dahhhh
@JerrauexSo basically, Gerrymandering is some BS just like Electoral colleges.
@jhill6033does anyone know what racial gerrymandering though
@kainoakuniThe system has been a rigged game for eons...
@Johnny.1965🙂👍
@Kalyan.KariniRace-based redistricting? Isn't it racist to assume that all members of a given race think exactly the same and would support the same candidate?
@JK_JK_JKGerrymandering will have no power if minorities and blacks register independent or Republican in two years you can get rid of all of the conservative Republicans, and the blue dog Democrats, and Dixie Kratz Democrats.
@lane7939So, it was a scheme devised by an anti-federalist. Well, what a surprise.
@maxcohen13Excellent. Congrats to the team who put this together.
@esportswomenThe gerrymandering system is a rigged system, they should make it illegal, but how do you tell an addictive smoker that smoking is bad for them but they already know, so it's too hard for them to change, maybe the goal is to stop them from smoking in the first place, in other word's making it illegal to cut up the majority of people of who they really want the right person to represent their state, thus making it fair that the right person gets elected every time, gerrymandering system is basically a voter fraud system that Favour's the rich and powerful that likes to destroy the middle class to keep people divided💀💀💀🎯💯😏
@toutaipalu9116Hello class
@flamefeaturesIn Great Britain they have a concept known as a rotten borough which is a parliamentary district drawn to give electoral power to a single family or even in some cases a single voter. This actually did happen there. A Black Adder III episode spoofs the idea and builds an episode around increasing the power of the pro-royalist faction in parliament by decreasing the parliamentary power of the at the time anti-royalist Tory PM William Pitt the younger by creating a voting district whose sole voter is a chicken named Colin. The chicken votes for the king of course.
@samonetazHey, here's a thought. Why not put some laws in place that forbids Gerrymandering? Divide the congressional districts up in a way that both republicans and democrats can agree on (by compromising), and then they can't be changed again, unless by the same process (compromise). This seems like a silly problem to have that is easily fixed.
@MetalGamer666Neat video. Simple explanation.
@sherenay3109Gerrymandering is an unethical political tactic that's been highly abused by Republican conservatives, NOT Democrats, since at least the 80s. Cut poor Democrat-leaning neighborhoods in half via redistricting and, thus, limit the power of the Democrat vote to ensure a Republican winner. Republicans have always been corrupt.
@DanielTowersWeirDskinSAmerica is not a DEMOCRACY! ......America is a REPUBLIC!...... how ever the CORPORATION UNITED STATES ....... is a democracy....... because it's ruled by the few ..... over the protest of the many! ...... That makes ALL POLITICIANS members of a CRIMINAL CORPORATION based in the FOREIGN CITY COUNTRY known as the DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. And covers a mere 10 miles. Where the UNITED STATES CORPORATION COMPANY is located. It is a FOR PROFIT CORPORATION. And was bankrupted soon after being established! ..... it was created in 1871. by the traitors in congress's ACT of 1871
@dockmastertedirrelevant.
scarymandering - when the u.s. becomes a one party system because the left lost the plot.
Excellent video! I'm in Michigan & there's an anti-gerrymandering proposal that we have to vote on next week... high school was too long ago to remember details, but this simple 3 minute video presented enough to clearly understand what it is and how it works. I think I've just made up my mind on how to vote on the proposal...
@RealRuler2112Gerrymandering is not good for Democracy.
@Rud13-s9fWhat the short video didn't touch on is the fact that gerrymandering is also done to group minorities together to allow them to elect the representative of their choice instead of having their votes cancelled out by the majority in a district. It is not always a bad thing to do like they have it presented here.
@vettekid3326Great video!
