Future Top 10 Country Projected GDP Ranking (2018-2100)

Video Overview & Insights

This video shows the Top 10 countries with highest GDP from 2018 to 2100. The projected GDP ranking includes countries such as United States, China, India, Japan, France, etc. It also shows how Asia will dominate the economy while Europe starts to fall slowly.

Guys, just to clarify the source of the video. The data and projection mathematical model is taken from https://pardee.du.edu, which is a part of University of Denver in USA. It used datasets from past to 2016, so the data starting from 2016 are all projected, which might be off to some degree. But guys, this isn't intended to be exact projection since the future is unpredictable to say the least (we could all be dead if WWIII happens). It just shows a trend where each country will most likely be after 100 years!

โ€” @WawamuStats

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is a monetary measure of the market value of all the final goods and services produced in a period of time, often annually or quarterly. Nominal GDP estimates are commonly used to determine the economic performance of a whole country or region, and to make international comparisons.

Historical Top 10 Country GDP Ranking (Part 1): https://youtu.be/wykaDgXoajc

This prediction was made in 2018 (8 years ago). Let's see the differences in projection vs reality in 2026:

Projection
1. USA: $20.57 T
2. China: $19.12 T
3. Japan: $6.65 T
4. India: $5.19 T
5. Germany: $4.46 T
6. France: $3.45 T
7. UK: $3.37 T

Reality (IMF, 2026)
1. USA: $32.38 T
2. China: $20.85 T
3. Germany: $5.45 T
4. Japan: $4.38 T
5. UK: $4.26 T
6. India: $4.15 T
7. France: $3.59 T

The projections clearly overestimated Japan and India's progress, underestimated the EU's progress, and severely underestimated the US's explosive GDP growth. In fact, the video predicts that the US won't reach $30 trillion until 2056... definitely underestimated on that front. It's always fun to look back at previous predictions and see how things played out, I wonder how the future will go!

As of 2025 many prediction of this video fails.

As 1) China cannot surpass USA by 2028 by anymeans

USA is at 27 Trillion And China is at 18 Trillion.

2) India Already Surpass Japan in 2024 video Shows 2028

While Germany is on no 3 it shows japan

So u can assume how Accurate this Prediction are going to be๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

It's true "History repeats itself". Don't worry! India will take back its position in the world.

From 1608 to 1947, British looted more than $45 trillion worths from India and became so called World Superpower for sometimes. When they came India accounted for 26% of the World's GDP and when they left India was less than 2% with life expectancy dropping from more than 65 to just 32 years.

And now the day will also come when you British will suffer the more than as millions of Indians suffered because of colonizers.

Besides China and India, all other countries and their GDP will be far more different as this graph follows current trends. Wars, diseases or natural calamities can massively change the global economy. Also, countries like Brazil, Russia, Pakistan, Taiwan, South Korea etc could be in the top 10 with much better GDP if they're more successful from now on. And I genuinely doubt USA will lag that far behind, they will most like be right beside China and India.

I doubt China's economy will grow exponentially and overtake the US. One reason - population. China's one child policy is currently working against them, currently 1 grandchild has to support their parents AND grandparents. Their population is declining.

Just take a look at other east Asian countries like Japan and Korea. Their populations are declining and aging rapidly, and this was even without the one child policy!

On the other hand, countries like the US is a nation of immigrants. Their population numbers are bolstered, and they attract the best minds on the planet. China, on the other hand, can't/doesn't rely on this method of naturalization. In short, I still believe that the US will be the leading economy in 2100.

@deathtrack15
@

I am kinda tempted to do some long term investments in some emerging asian markets in india, china, indonesia, japan. If this is even close to the truth, having some sizable long term investments in india or china might lead to a exponential growth of wealth. Just an idea. 50 million into india in the most lucrative growing market and letting that sit for decades and when it expands so rapidly it overtakes the us even. Just a idea though.

@dylanplumley280
