L E T S C O N N E C T!

I really LOVE this video. I especially loved the puzzle pieces in the sensory bin or hidden around the house. I was looking for hands on activities for my special ed (mod/severe) class of students who range 5th-7th grade. Most are cognitively at pre-k or k. I really wanted to make a race between 2 to find all the puzzle pieces in a sensory bin, however I have one student that puts everything in her mouth (has behaviors like a 2 yo) so I can't use that with her, but will do a scavenger hunt and make it a race to complete so even my higher level students will want to participate. There were so many great ideas! I can't share this on my FB page from work, as it is blocked, however I will when I get home. I will also send to my SpEd teachers who teach in the elementary school. I think this is great for all the parents out there looking for fun things to do with the kiddos to combat boredom and help cognitive growth. Great rainy day activities as well (of course except for the pool). Keep up the great work!

Do you have anything that doesn't make a mess?
.... or do you have contracts that says the kids have to tidy it up before they run to the next thing?

Welcome to Pocketful of Parenting (formerly The Innovative Momma)! I’m Jess - a Parenting Coach, Certified Positive Discipline Educator, former preschool/kindergarten teacher & momma!

Parenting is TOUGH - especially in the early years where the sleep is little and the feelings are BIG. My mission is to help reframe the idea of the “terrible twos,” “threenagers,” and “fournados” to help parents LOVE LIFE WITH LITTLES!

Great ideas. I'm impressed🎉

I provide science-based information on your child’s developing brain to help you gain a better understanding and form a deeper connection with your little one. I’ll also be sharing tools you can use to help your child get through their big emotions while keeping your cool in the process. (Say “bye-bye” to yelling, bribes, threats & punishments!)

You’ll also find easy play activities to help support your child’s development across multiple areas, such as: fine and gross motor skills, cognitive development, social-emotional development, and language development.

Thank you for these!❤️

I’ll be setting up the car activity today. My kids are going to love it! I was also thinking of doing the puzzle/sensory one. My son “saves” the pieces, while my older daughter assembles the puzzle.
