FROM Season 4's Biggest UNANSWERED Questions Explained
Video Overview & Insights
I review, breakdown and explain FROM Season 4 Episode 10. I answer the biggest unanswered questions from the finale and give my reaction to the biggest WTF moments and look at how the story will develop in Season 5, the final season. I give my theories and predictions on the Lake of Tears, Fatima transforming into a monster, the importance of the bones, the town being an entity, the identity of The Boy in White, Boyd's death, and the Man In Yellow and what the lake of tears is.
Are there any other questions in FROM that you need to be answered before the show can provide a satisfying ending? Share yours in the comments below!
00:00 Intro
00:36 Why Fatima Turned Into A Monster
Since they didn't pursue it any further, I initially thought that their looking for the "lake of tears" was just a way to get them to look for any lake, and the one they found with the dolls WAS the goal. Disappointed in that theory. That doesn't gel with there being an ACTUAL lake of tears because whatever he drew was real, though. Maybe saving it so they can drag out the last season.
02:24 Why Did Ethan See Jim?
03:51 Who Is The Boy In White And The Man In Yellow
Pretty sure even the authors themselves don't know answers to any of this.
05:07 What Do The Bones And The Lake Of Tears Mean?
06:22 How Julie's Storywalking Worked
What if instead of Ethan becoming the next Victor… What if Ethan becomes the new boy in white and Victor becomes the new man in yellow? That would be nuts!
07:12 What Did Donna See?
08:29 Outro
I'm fully convinced they just make up random bullshit every season and never plan to explain why any of it came to be.
Reminds me of the episode of South Park when they make fun of Family Guy and by implying every episode is just manatees picking random idea balls from a tank.

It’s a game between the boy in white and the man in yellow the people can’t leave because they are all part of the game when they die they just reincarnate into another person while in the real world when it’s time to play the game the reincarnations will be summoned your welcome

I think it’ll be julie who story walks back to the first sacrifice to explain what happens at the beginning which will give all the answers for the end

How did Jim die was it because of Julie future?
@koypiiiThe 'ghost of Jim' couldn't be the miy because he just vanished (like the other apparitions). And Sophia was in the storage room during that time.
@IzahdnbAbsolute shithouse season finale...could have been any other episode this season...shithouse!
@kaz0271I think Donna did make bargain with the MIY. Look at the episode where she was with Ethan and Julie. The plates were thrown towards Donna not the kids. Either Julies father was warning them or it was Julie herself when she story walks. Also her having a heart attack could be due to the MIY, she might not have followed his instruction and he punished her because his blood is in her body so he can easily control her without being close to her
@fatoomya2994This Season could have been an E-Mail.
@fernandoboaglioMaybe for Julie the clue is that she should say annoyed and then she will remember
@DubaandRoxanaAnd we never talked about the lake of tears again lol
@gabbbi13This show is so bad on every front. Go watch Widow's Bay for everyting From wants to be.
@ryanandress1850The boy in white is jades and tabitha unsacrificed child is my theory
@androbot3000Gonna say, I lost all interest with this series, it suck, season 4 and nothing really happening, waste all my investment towards this series just for me to wait a long time for a next season.
@harutoyumaartsShitty season, deserve to sink!
@Zeph_007He said he can take the body of anyone who has DIED. We don't know if that is nullified if he kills the person. Also, he may not be able to influence people using loved ones as it might be against the rules or he may not be able to use anyone from that "cycle". He also uses the clothes of his victims and Jim's body had his clothes on.
@limitedhangoutliveJim and father are the boy in white
@samgriffin6221یکی از بهترین سریالهاست
@barak8889The world of From is a fracture in reality born from a ritual during which a community sacrificed its own children in exchange for immortality, creating a closed world condemned to endlessly reenact this original tragedy. This cycle remains trapped by the hope left behind by the children at the moment of their death and is sustained by the constant opposition of two antagonistic forces: the Man in Yellow, who perpetuates the violence necessary for the cycle’s continuation, and the Boy in White, who quietly guides the inhabitants toward the truth. So why did the Boy in White not want the tree to be uprooted? Because the stakes are critical: the children’s hope remains anchored there. This act throws the cycle into an unprecedented state of instability and now leaves only two possible outcomes: Either the Man in Yellow succeeds in manipulating the inhabitants before Jade and Tabitha can complete the ritual: hope disappears forever, the Boy in White ceases to exist, and the cycle perpetuates itself through eternal suffering with absolutely no possibility of resolution. Or the two parents succeed, the children are freed, the original sacrifice is broken, and From disappears forever along with everything it contains. The question is no longer who is who or who does what — we already know that. Nor is it about how it ends — we know that too. The only question left is which ending Griffin has chosen.
@swisswtfcsgoteam77765:23 what if it’s all actually been Henry’s acid trip?
@themiddleman7817:01 Did she leave one where Jim was killed and she will be able to go back and save him?
@themiddleman7815:32 Save the town, save the world
@themiddleman781I don’t think the man in yellow could have been Jim as he shifts when he’s naked and swaps clothes just a thought
@neilrobertson5810Same like lost Series..
I hope it ends Well
I want to know what happened to the motel. The sign & pool are the only things left, what happened to the rest of it?
@FionaWrigleyLike lost with the man in black and man in white= good and evil!
@brogan91Honestly, you haven't answered any question. These are just theories you shared with your viewers.
@TimmiieehhThey Could do it like that Pennywise show go back and show Victors previous group like when he was a kid or show how or who made the From Town
@tesethebeastI feel you have thought about this more than the writers
@stevh88They said Fatima wasn't originally supposed to turn into a monster they just basically woke on day and thought it would be a cool and scary idea . The pregnancy was originally supposed to be the only thing that happened
@Josh-f4g2eThe writers answered questions yesterday on Reddit. Very interesting answers
@Josh-f4g2eMy two cents on this show. The creators are definitely following the Lost playbook:
Both Fromville and the Island are basically living, supernatural entities. They both exist in their own pocket dimensions. You cannot just travel there normally.
The people are not there by accident. The entities handpick the residents and give everyone a specific purpose.
The Boy in White is basically Jacob. He wants to help people and end the cycle. The Man in Yellow is like the Man in Black. He loves the eternal loop and enjoys messing with people. But unlike Lost, it does not look like the MIY is actually trying to kill the Boy in White.
Both shows rely heavily on keystone characters who hold everything together.
Why didnt Sophia take the talisman from the beginning?
@Sqweegithe man in yellow girl. version is freakin hot ❤
@CHINLEE1231I think Victor family didn't win because Eloise died, If Tabatha is Miranda and Victor is Ethan then Eloise was supposed to be Julie.
Victor family lost because they don't have a dream walker I guess.
Sorry for my English.
is eloise alive??
@neilshijilkumarThis season could have been an email.
@yukikaze133Donna is definitely keeping something secret.
@J.dUb.1:10 With Fatima starting to lose her hair, I'm starting to wonder if she's somehow connected to the Anghkooey children. They all lost their hair, but the monsters don't seem to have that problem.
@J.dUb.The cast are back today! I live where it's filmed and they're already prepping for next season.
@HFXmermaidThis show is so bad
@moon1valThat would pretty crazy if the boy in White and the man in yellow were father and son both playing some type of game
@Dskcgaming78This season could have been an email. The pacing was soooo off. Characters speaking in sentences that never finish without stuttering are worse than ever. Each character is having their own arc at the same time and each is going into a different path, everyone is discovering something but they refuse to cooperate. The lake dolls were an awful addition - they just looked so bad and unfinished, and they went back to where they came from after showing up just once... felt like a waste of time. Continuity mistakes in the scenario and makeup were atrocious. The cast is a bit bloated, the deaths in this season felt like cleaning that up instead of plot choices. I love this show but it's feeling lazier and lazier.
@Biiisc_8"biggest unanswered question" bro name a single question that has ever definitively been answered in a way that makes sense in any sort of throughline or similar plot device. It's just one continuous fever dream. Every episode feels like when you are like going back to sleep after lucid dreaming and sort of return but everything is different and there's no discernable connection besides vibes. How more people aren't angry and frustrated about it has become more intriguing to me than mustering the energy to question anything about it anymore.
Every video essay, review or theory sounds like people confidently describing physics as a kindergartener. You can't make an objective statement about something that isn't a direct quote from the series. 😭
I really do hope im not watching another "lost"
