What intrigues me about these rehearsal recordings is how they ever get out into the public domain. Did Frank gift them to people or did he deliberately put them out there or did an enginee slip in a tape or what?
@terrypussypowerDuring the PBS presentation of "A Zappa Affair" (concert at UC Berkeley in '84) a member of the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra--one of their top players--mentioned how playing with Zappa was a greater learning experience than what he'd received at any time during his formal training. Zappa was certainly a master among masters.
