Inflation is getting out of hand! With rising gas prices, egg shortages, and interest rates, most of us are looking to save a buck where we can. And a great way to do that is buy buying BULK! Or is it actually the way to go? We’re breaking down the biggest myth when it comes to Costco and the best hacks for saving money at your local retailer.
we were shopping at Walmart yesterday and then we were on the toilet paper aisle about to buy toilet paper and then the price tags updating they went from eight dollars for a six pack of toilet paper to $13 for that same six pack and the worst thing of all they were not jumbo rolls

Unbelievably late for the party on this one, but sounds like the secret way to min max costco savings is to have a neighborhood get together, and have designated costco shoppers with the membership (and fee they all cover), and the designated shoppers shop for all of them and are given the money needed to cover shopping for everyone.
that includes the food court and costco gas.

In Australia Costco has shin ramyun for Au$19 for a 20 pack, and which is $0.65 cheaper per individual ramen packet. I have purchased about 5 boxes of shin ramyun and eaten all of it. Meaning I’ve saved roughly $65 on noodles in 4 months. (I also mainly go there for the hotdog though)

Yeah, I’m too poor to go to Costco. I stick with Kroger and Walmart.

That’s you just buy what you need and then eat the samples. I’ve never bought something because I ate a sample. Maybe I’m just weird.

The longer I shop at Costco, the more selective I become on what we buy.
Frozen food and non-perishable staples are the best. Bulk chicken and beef that we throw in the freezer. Eggs are great. I do get tires and electronics from there as well.
I no longer get cheese or milk or fresh produce. The only exception are the berries. Some might go to watse, but they're only slightly more for a LOT more berries compared to the grocery store, and usually better quality/ freshness.

He didnt even mentioned the rebate, I got $250 back this year!
And he also didnt talk about the Kirkland brand and how much you save on those products
I know for my family of 5 costo is so helpful, and we are lucky to live 5 minutes from ourselves.

This video is so biased it’s crazy. He is dogging on Costco the whole time just to find out you save more there😭

We’re Costco guys
@Kevinghidorah1964Side note: cat litter
Greatest savings, about 50% cheaper than other stores cause pet stores over charge the heck outta that clay! ❤
One thing that completely negates this argument is the fact that if you fill up on gas every two weeks for 10 gallons, the membership almost pays for itself in the savings from gas, if you make the average amount saved $.20/g. It’s closer to 3/4 the price of the membership but still, it makes it loads easier to justify the price of the $65 membership if you also get gas exclusively at costco
@R1chie_Rich007Asians after looking at this video:😭😭😭😭
@HeinrichYT-_-HCCan we get a Sam’s club video
@Stanl3y_Can we get ah updated video?
@mr.zendar885I live by myself. Managed to cut my food expenses in half compare to Costco by shopping at local Japanese market with higher unit price.😮
@jackxiao1054Aldi's blows Costco out of the water on prices
@Nanook128How to save money at cost co, work there just buy hot dogs, pizza and rotisserie chickens. DONE!
@Lost_Little_ZeroI have a membership and other than the monthly Sprite I go there at least 2 to 3 times a week for dinner by just getting a hotdog combo saving $10-$20 per meal. That’s good enough reason for me.
@Wisewolf55That's why I don't shop at Costco!
@Jacob_M_C_AlienMatpat where are you
@RestyjayLabosEnter the store with a friend's member card. It is a great deal.
@BlissDecisionthis intro 3 years later is insane
@royaljunior2125Buying food at Costco would do great if you have a freeze dryer cause they make food last 25 years
But then freeze dryers do cost atleast like 1500£ or like 2000$
I think the issue with vids like these is there is a variable to this like for me I don’t need a Costco or Sam’s Club membership but my sister who has a husband and a pair of twins it’s justifiable for her bc it enough for them
@richardperaza5083Some Costco items aren’t worth it. But you definitely save way more than $1.64 on comparable products.
@freelanxeI wish you also took into account the savings from insurance, gas, and the medical services Costco offers.
@user-where-2ykw $20 saved is still $20, plus the $120 membership could make the membership free if you shop enough bc of the cashback. ik someone who goes w his friends whenever they need groceries and he makes ab $100 from the cashback after paying for his renewal
@chloegolliharSponsored by Israel
@SvmmerWasAwfvlAnother thing not discussed is the savings by quality while some things might be dollar for dollar not saving you money costcos food items in my experience are much higher quality for something that is the same price at regular stores
@Christian-s3v8mIts getting more expensive there than your local grocery store
@Marc-m9r11:38 Golfball and Tennisball do eye raising thing from bfb 6
@NailyIDFBSincerely can't believe you didn't mention gas, literally it's $0.40 cheaper than other stations in my area, so if you get gas there every week, you're saving $4 a week on a 10 gallon tank, or $16 a month, or, drum roll, $192.00 a year on top of your $20.00 grocery savings. So your membership does pay for itself at that point.
@AnalyzingAnalystSo that was a lie…
@MelloPeepsJust off of Costco gas alone the membership is worth it. $1 less per gallon. And the stuff in the store is way cheaper for rice and beef etc. IOW you’re wrong.
@easye.2236I have a Costco membership for broccoli, coffee and cause mines next to a train station and when I’m broke. Instead of giving my $5 to McDonald for 1 burger. I get a full lunch with drink for the same price.
@Seawiz21For a food hack for this for college students and stuff get someone who has a membership to buy you a gift card and you can go in there whenever you want and then just use cash instead of a gift card
@THAT_ONE_POTATO-802Walmart propaganda
@Fnafcollector879:32 my family of 7 legit eating that
@PercabethschildCostco gas?
@its.me.i.am.yue.vFood theory:
"I know nothing about economics but I saw a target customer was single women 35 years old. Therefore, you can only save money by eating hot dogs (trash food) and soda (trash drink) at costco"
This is the worst and least informative video ever.
Costco saves money because they consistently underprice competitors by eliminating a lot of the middlemen and focusing on th annual membership, not profit on the goods themselves. Every year they make BILLIONS from the memberships themselves.
They are consistently lower on many items, but not all items. And their return policy is the real value because you can return something anytime except for electronics (90 days) for any reason, so there is a lower risk to purchasing.
If you buy what you already buy, you can save a lot of money by shopping at costco if you buy in bulk.
College students are not relevant to the equation. You con't need a garage to buy bulk toilet paper although you do need a nice freezer.
And Costco isn't always cheaper on some things even in bulk. Look up the unit prices and find what you already are going to buy, and shop at costco and buy in bulk and plan ahead.
W CEO for building factories specifically for hot dog instead of raising the price
@giangdang2755sounds like Pak n Save
@Rexiest4:10 is just wrong, Costco doesn’t use a sunk cost fallacy when it makes you want to buy more. It’s you buying basic necessities you’d have needed anyway to try and offset the cost of your membership, it’s not irrational at all. The logic is easy to follow - me need item, me buy thing to help me get item cheaper, me save enough on item I need to be worth cost to make item cheaper.
