The Ferrari F50 is absolutely my favourite car and it gets even better with a Tubi exhaust, chasing PowerslideLover in the Ferrari F40, while on amazing roads in the Dolomites! Even if the rain tries to have other ideas, that roof is coming off to enjoy the V12 to the max in the mountains. What a fantastic experience!

After a fantastic trip to the Dolomites with PowerslideLover recently, where we took a 6-car convoy out and I drove the F8 Spider, before getting behind the wheel of the fabulous Monza SP2, it was an absolute must to return to drive the legendary F50! When it comes to the true Ferrari supercars, the F50 followed on from the 288 GTO and F40, and the line has continued with the Enzo and LaFerrari, but it's always been my favourite.
Having been my first poster car, the F50 also mixes my ultimate driving dynamic characteristics; a naturally aspirated V12, 6-speed gated manual, and an open top driving experience. In the case of PowerslideLover's car it's also fitted with a Tubi exhaust system, just as the F40 in convoy too.
Mind blown....
The F50's 4.7l V12 was derived from the 1990 F1 engine, and you feel that from the way it revs, giving you such a spine-tingling feeling as you drive. While it's a physically huge car, it's lightweight and communicative to drive, while looking spectacular too. With only 349 in the world, it's exceptionally rare but the ultimate distant-dream lottery-win car that I'd add to my garage too.
Before we even get out onto the roads of the Dolomites, the weather turns against us leading to a rapid rush to install the canvas roof. However, things take a turn for the better and there's enough opportunity to enjoy the open experience shortly thereafter.

God, it's a 4.7L V12, you're driving in 1st and 2nd gear at 3 thousand RPM, that's why it's so loud..

@vagnerdefreitas9299Im concerned that, with the roof on, the entire rear of the car becomes a rain catcher/funnel leading straight to the rear "window popper". Must get drippy. I'd worry for my suede driving loafers and horizon-blue action slacks...

@maddog4390The formula of gated manual, NA, mid engine, removable non mechanical top brings some wonderful cars to mind ;). Carrera GT, murci lp640 roadster, diablo roadster,ferrari 308,328 348, 355, 360 and f430 spider manual, ford gt and hopefully the newest z06 vette offers a manual as well.

@anthonykemp8095Almost gave up half way through. Sadly like most good content providers, these videos are partly ruined now by the incessant adverts YT peppers them with. I’m not paying 16 quid a month for uninterrupted viewing. YT need to moderate either the Premium cost or the advert frequency, as I don’t believe a content creator in their right mind would insert a 30 second advert clip every 2 to 3 minutes.
@markscars1069The F50 is my fav too. The style is unmatched imho. Gated shift, NA V12 and an open roof. 😎👍 The Tubi exhaust is the icing on the cake. Sure an F1 is a faster car but the style isn't my fav. Maybe it's just me? Cheers.
