Far Cry Games From Worst To Best

Forcry 3 mia game that I truly fell in love with years ago I still remember playing it back-to-back because of the different endings, but now I'm gonna start farcry 4 and continue , with the franchise , hopefully he gets better and better

Far cry 3 is my favorite. But it was also my first. So that’ll always cloud your vision. Kinda like how people always shit on movie sequels, but if the sequel was the first one they watched they’ll usually like that one better. Your first experience is hard to top. But I LOVED the upgrade system in the game. Having to hunt specific enemies if you want to upgrade your gear. And you’ll want to. Makes everything have a purpose. And we all know Vaas is fantastic. But it’s not a well polished game. Its driving sucks, it’s janky. It didn’t age well, I guess. So far cry 5 can look like a better game just because it’s newer and they’re all a product of their time. And 5 had fantastic gameplay for sure. But I will always miss that deep storage management and upgrade system of 3. That’s really what did it for me. It made me want to really explore the map, hunt down animals like I was back in 2002 playing deer hunter. Which I never knew I wanted in a game. Plus it’s not a bad way to make money too. But it has its own purpose.

This list is bullshit ...when put farcry 4 and 5 so down i lost it

The people's rankings of Far Cry games depend in huge part which setting they like more. Far Cry 2 has far from the best gameplay in the series but I just can't help but love its beautiful and gritty African setting the most out of all of them

FC4 should be called a walking game and boring af. FC 5 and 6 are the best period. 3 ,4,2,1 are a**

Far Cry 2 was the first Far Cry game I tried. There were frustrating moments with the game design that made traveling to destinations feel like a chore. I always got the feeling that they did it that way to make the game longer than it should be, which sapped the fun out of the things it did right. However, I did get to see the potential and gave Far Cry 3 a try. In terms of polish, it was the better-designed game. But I was disappointed with the regression in tech (physics most especially, which was one of the best features of Far Cry 2). And by the end of 3, although it avoided the frustrations of Far Cry 2, I got that open-world shooter fatigue and never bothered with the rest of the series. The next open-world FPS game I played was Cyberpunk for the PS5, which made me appreciate Far Cry 2 more, because even Cyberpunk lacked the level of detail found in Far Cry 2 (e.g. destructible objects, fire effects etc.) Cyberpunk concentrated on how it looks. But the advancements were all cosmetic, unlike Far Cry 2, which had all the advanced physics incorporated in gameplay. So advanced that most modern games don't even have those features any more.

I think I like the most of the FC games in the series is 4 bc Pagan is just a chill guy most of the game not like Vass or other villians yeah he was still a killer but in the end he was a less evil the Amita or Sabal and he was more father to him then his own father (Mohan Gale). Im just in the end of my first playtrought and I just realize that the vilian isn’t Pagan or his regime yeah still he was a killer and dictator but all the time the worst vilian of them all was The Golden Path and Sabal with Amita bc Sabal is just like Joseph from 5 just a holy fanatic that is addicted way more to the tradicions and then kill inocent ppl and loyalist to the Amita and in the other hand Amita want to create from Kyrat a Drug using chidren as a soldiers and then making drogs on the fields that’s just messed up!!! Pagan at least create some stability and order to the Kyrat soo there wasn’t any chaos 😬😑.

I have to say, I disagree with almost the entire list. However, since you put Far Cry 3 at the top, we can shake hands on it. It's truly the best Far Cry game.

Farcry evolution was terrible, there’s no way it’s better than farcry 5. I tried to play through it, it had terrible difficulty spikes and just wasn’t fun.

Far Cry 2 is way better with realism + redux mod, for example fixing outposts respawns within seconds

Far Cry 3 has my vote as the best of the series for sure.

The team did an incredible job on Far Cry 5 set in Montana, I live in montana and they definitely went around the flathead lake and other places right near me it was sooo cool to play, loved it.

Primal on survivor mode is really the way the game should be played. It was the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt in a Far Cry game.

Far cry 2 was the worst for me but from what I've played which is most of them. That wii one looks hilarious

For me its far cry and far cry 3. And i want it to remain that way so bad that i refuse to play other far cry games in case my opinion changes.
Also i would hands down pay AAA money to play a remaster of the original far cry.
No need to change anything with far cry 3.no refinement required and i dont care for the imperfections either. Its perfect the way it is. I think bethesda sort of tried to do what far cry 3 did and unfortunately failed with Rage 2 but as far as combat goes, these far cry games aint got shit on it. Combat is pure dopamine repository im Rage 2 and even after all these years it hasnt been matched.

Of the ones I've played, 4 is by far my favorite. I haven't played New Dawn or more than an hour or so of 6 though yet but I don't see that changing. 4 had fun characters like Pagan Min and Yogi&Reggie. There was alot of tongue in cheek humor which just makes me want to play it again and again. what I played of 6 was too serious with the exception of the gator which was too ridiculous to watch. Its part of the reason I quit.
The rest of them take themselves too serious for my blood as well. They really need to get the writers back that did 4.

As someone who played (most) of the Far Cry Series, I really enjoyed 4. I thought it was a good follow up from the success of 3.

For me far cry 3 and far cry primal will always be the best. I enjoy your videos and I like hearing why you think some games are better than others.

I agree that Far Cry 3 was probably the best of the series. But Far Cry 2 was a horrible game. The mechanics were all solid but the story and ultimately the gameplay was terrible. I tried to get into it and never could. My ratings would be 3,5,6,4,1 and far behind all the others would be 2.

Primal is #1 for me
