Pink Seashells perfectly distills what happens to emo kids who grew up. This whole album is emo kids who grew up. I love how the aimless nihilism we all felt as children matured into what nihilism as a philosophy is actually suppose to be; not the presence of toxic apathy, but the full acceptance of the pointlessness of life, and the sometimes profound feeling of connectedness and freedom that can give you when you embrace it. The absurdity, the beauty; the loneliness of and the comradery. Knowing that if the rules are pointless, and not driven by anything anyhow, we have agency to write and follow whichever ones we want to so long as they have their basis in honestly belief and not just mindless consumption.

I'm late to the party, and I'll be the first to say FoB making a comeback like this was not in my bingo card for the future, but it turns out I didn't "stop" liking their music as I grew up. They really did change, and it's been such a joy to see them change back in a way that's more true to themselves as artists. It's weird and it's cheesy, but that journey of theirs really does give me a sense of hope in these dark times.

I won tickets to see them in Nashville last week (03/31). Almost didn't go because I couldn't find anyone to go with. Went alone, glad I went, it was amaaaazing! I actually hadn't kept up with FOB for a while; didn't even know they had a new album out. It's now one of my favorites and can't stop listening to it and wouldn't have even know about it if I didn't go see them.

Loved them from day one seen them live 4 times they are amazing !! My kids have been brought up to love them too so attending the concert with my 25 and 22 year olds when their first concert they were 13 and 10 is amazing

What I love the most about this is they didn't try to be something they are not. They danced with the person who brought them to the dance. Evolved yes....but stayed the same! Love this band so much. The Kintsugi Kid is so great!!
