Extrapolations is a bracing drama from writer, director and executive producer Scott Z. Burns that introduces a near future where the chaotic effects of climate change have become embedded into our everyday lives. Eight interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family from across the globe will explore the intimate, life-altering choices that must be made when the planet is changing faster than the population. Every story is different, but the fight for our future is universal. @maec8014So IMDB indicates this was released March 17, 2023 (in Canada) and it has a 6.2 rating. Regardless, odd that for such a stacked cast, I've never heard of it until today. I guess it's not up there with Severance, Pluribus, Silo, Foundation etc

Both are equally cautionary, but are both very different in approach. Movies are a good case of this. If a movie actually delivers exactly what you want... it is often because it is not what you thought.

Oh my god, what is happening to cinema? Over the past decade, they’ve just been dumping money into things that don’t even qualify as filmmaking. It’s reached a frighteningly weak state. I understand you have to use up budgets for tax write-offs, but come on. There are so many other opportunities to fund people who actually possess imagination and capability.

@TheFiownI had never heard of this when it came out three years ago. I had never heard of it two years ago. I had never heard of it last year. I had never heard of it ten minutes ago.
And now I have seen this trailer and all I can think is that Apple's marketing director should be fired.
So unrealistic. What government would turn its back on climate change and deny it is happening. That would never happen and we wouldn’t allow it to happen , right? Oh, wait. Never mind.
@Dave-626I really fell in love with this show when it premiered on AppleTV three years ago. Loved its Anthology format regarding various aspect of climate change from different perspectives. I was truly hoping for another season with newer issues and stories.

@rpower1401How naive can you be? The "global warming" hoax was invented precisely to sell carbon futures and make money from this agenda.
Do you realize that if CO2 levels drop too much, many plant species simply will not survive? Including the plants we rely on for food. Harvests will shrink, food will become more expensive, and corporations will once again make their superprofits - this time from selling food.
This show came along at about the same time that Bill Gates finally admitted that "climate change" as it's been depicted "isn't a thing", Who'da'thought?.
@Wraith40AAnother "Climate change will doom us all" scenario....how about they make a show or movie about how this hasn't happened since they started talking about it in the mid 70s and mainstream in the 80s...and yet London is not underwater, the mountains still have snow, and nothing has changed.
