When I first saw the trailer, my initial thought was “I wonder how quick people are going to magically forget that the axe was Faye’s and Faye went one-on-one with Thor”

I was gonna ask if he remembered stuff about God of War: Ragnarök but it seems like he didn’t even play it. Anyway, in Ragnarök Fey mentions how when her and Kratos first met they “nearly took each other’s heads off.” and then there’s the side quest where we learned that she went toe to toe with Thor! My thought while watching the showcase was “oh this was what attracted Kratos to her.”

Me who gave up trying to beat Raven and quit Stelar Blade. Im not afraid to admit I got pubstomped and just stopped. Still like the game tho.

The only thing I want from GOW: Laufey is for them to do her lore justice. She canonically fought Kratos and Thor to stalemate even going as far as permanently scaring part of Vanaheim against Thor so I want her to at least have the strength to back her lore up.

And because it was mentioned there's a few good games similar to Stelar blade on how the main character is sexualized. With one I've been enjoying having the first and second male characters the player character interacts with being creepy with the second one who's an ally immediately jumping to "ill protect you" and "we're the only humans left we're going to have to start repopulating Earth." I had to pause the game after that second line because main character snuck past the military and entered the quarantine zone, went through the zombie infested city and then through the entire top side of the facility fighting off hordes of zombies before meeting the dude. But yeah dudes totally going to protect the woman with an m4a1 with a 50 round drum mag, a grenade launcher, a Desert Eagle, an axe and enough knives to make theseknivesonly blush.

but to make my point people hating on God of war Laufey just cause a woman is the main character are like the ally dude named Jason from The killing antidote. Believing that they're superior and while they might be a competent fighter they'll probably only end up getting picked up body slammed and thrown a good 20 meters through a plate glass window by a boss during it's fight introduction because they're to busy thinking with their millimeter peter to evade or do anything against said boss.

There's plenty of room for both styles of games like GOW Laufey and Stellar Blade Blood Rain. I'm just glad there's still so many single player action games coming out, whether male or female protagonist. These dorks who keep whining about games being 'too woke' or having a woman are just talentless hacks who repeat the same "anti-sjw" talking points that's been around since Gamer Gate from over a decade ago. They grift, they complain, they have nothing better to do because their audience are also a bunch of dorks with nothing else going on.

They'd go insane before even hitting the first H-scene in Kyonyuu Fantasy because that's about an hour of reading at medium speed (it's a 40-50 hour VN), and even if you just hold down the skip button it would still be 20 or so minutes for mediocre payoff.

We are told ~100 stories from Mimir about Thor killing giants mercilessly to the point where the only damage he takes is from viscera getting stuck in his own body. Yet, one Giant alone is able to fight Thor and stalemate with him.
