Exploring Lakewood, Ohio - Detroit Avenue, Lakewood Park, and Beautiful Lake Erie (Part 2)
Video Overview & Insights
Our biking tour in Lakewood, Ohio continued as we ventured down some of the side streets in the city that are filled with character and good landscaping. We saw the Downtown portion of Lakewood on Detroit Avenue, then rode down Belle to go around the beautiful Lakewood Park and sights of Lake Erie. There are also pickleball courts there. After that, we looked at some of the hidden Lanes located between Lake Avenue and Clifton Blvd, before making our way back up to Detroit. Filmed on July 13, 2025, and this video continued from where Part 1 left off:
Yes, There are many hdden lanes on lake.

Clifton used to have streetcars (trolleys) where most of the tree lawns are now.. Yeah, not a project just Rose Lane man!
More User Perspectives
On the other side of the overview of Cleveland to the right down the cliff is a big sewer drainage pipe that goes into the lake or used to.
@pavman1000There used to be just a fence and a 50 foot drop to the lake.Right where that circle is on the western end of the park they used to dump non-burnable garbage in the lake.
@pavman1000Yes, That was a Bandstand for bands or entertainment been there since the park opened.
@pavman1000Nice view of Cleveland from the lake, but too many people there. Is there lake access without a bunch of people? Or even maybe a metro park nearby?
@janied5672I notice a lot of meters and parking structures. Is there free parking at all downtown?
@janied5672It’s nice to see so many decoration from the Fourth of July still up.
@geocacheguy6736A fun and interesting video. I hope you win a prize Poko. I sent your video of Hixon's to a couple of family members. One of them said it was a real keepsake.
