Everything Wrong With CinemaSins: Blade Runner in 23 Minutes or Less

Video Overview & Insights

CinemaSins is a hilarious channel, and I love their content. But, just as "No Movie Is Without Sin", No Channel is Without Sin.

20:24 TheBirdman: "You son of a-- the NERVE that you-- GODDAMMIT!" (+100 sins)

— @irishandproud7119

This time, I flip the script and sin CinemaSins' Blade Runner video.

Enjoy!

2:43 Cinema Sins’ “or a new Brendan Fraser film” didn’t age well seeing that Fraser won an Oscar’s for a film he started in only a few years later.

— @alexanderjuergens784

Disclaimer: I actually REALLY enjoy CinemaSins, and am only making fun of them here. I do not hate them, nor am I a "hater". This video is all in good fun.

Could you add an additional, retroactive sin about Jeremy whining about newspaper technology still somehow existing in a perceived 2019?

Simply because they also STILL exist in the year of our Pidgeot 2025?

The only good thing is he is not sinning the theatrical cut . They may suck at "analyzing" but at least they have sense

Thanks for watching, and have an awesome day buds!

The matrix wasn't the first to use bullet time, Blade was. The Matrix popularised it

2:40 That Brendan Fraser joke aged as well as milk now that we have The Whale, Batgirl and Killers of the Flower Moon coming soon.

I love blade runner, you are my hero bro👊 (Fist bumps)

Birdman correct me if I'm wrong, but while Alexa was budding tech in 2019, didn't we still have Siri on our phones? I ask because my android phone which my dad gave to me in 2017 had voice response through Google.

@DemonicRemption

I find it interesting that neither Jeremy or the birdman realized that Pris wasn't a replicant, she was a human who convinced herself that she is a replicant. They do a bone marrow test on her body and found out she is human.

Ridley Scott: *is the kind of director that thinks his audience is smart and can understand a well written story*

I.....is......is he.......does he.......does Jeremy not realize how stupid he comes across in his videos? Is he actually that stupid?

@chichichichilling4822

Jeremy not removing sins for the amazing world and cities and the opening shot of the city from the sky also being practical! Amazing work for practical effects

@thelifeofcollinrs6030

Jeremy the jerk !

I remember that was the last Cinema Sins video I ever watched

@samhain2099

@ If Deckard was a replicant designed to think he was a human, he would have regular human strength, because he would notice if he had replicant strength.

@schwarzerritter5724
@

I’d just like to point out a script goof:
Specifically for the sin where Jeremy doesn’t understand that Pris looks very little like her mugshot.

“You still wonder why the cops didn’t stop her, or do I need to continue holding your hand some more?”

If Jeremy still wonders why, then he does need you to continue holding his hand. The mutual questions you asked have the same answer. I would’ve said; “Do you see why she felt safe enough to walk around the cops, or do I need to continue holding your hand some more?”

@maxrichards3881

Warriors blew a 3-1 lead 😂😂😂😂😂😂 #neverforget

@justjoe8282

Regarding the world building sin. Doesn't Jeremy usual whine about them NOT showing how character got to their next location?

@ingleberthumpernick6748
@

An anal channel that uses and rides on someone else's work. 👎

@FOX11GUY
@

Fun fact: The unicorn dream was unused footage from Ridley Scott's movie Legend, which he decided to insert into the final cut, and everyone, including the film's screenwriters, were completely against him doing this, so really, Scott is the only member of the production team that thought Deckard was a Replicant.

@noahvance6160
@

Considering that JF Sebastian lives by himself and, from the looks of it, doesn't really have any friends, to him the way the Replicants are treating him is probably just how he assumes regular human behavior is, and he's probably just happy that people actually want to be around him. So I don't think I'd really be asking why JF is so eager to help these guys out.

@noahvance6160
@

The one thing that annoys me the most about Jeremy's ignorance of the movie is that he says "space journey", implying that the flying police cars are even remotely capable of leaving the atmosphere. He somehow fails to realize that flying at nighttime does not automatically make it space travel. Tyrell Corp is on earth. I... really have no idea how that's hard to understand, but, it is Jeremy we're talking about.

@BigRaidah
@

"Every one kisses her I mean him I mean her" what the context for that?

@enderlove2794
@

this is my first time seeing anything blade runner, I gotta say the external architecture looks quite good

@Big_B2184
@

The way Jeremy mentions the whole she's hot so why does he want to kill her makes me wonder if he knows there's more to relationships than one or both of them being good to look at

@Mobysimo

CinemaSins: @2:35
People who liked Cyberpunk 2077: "The actually one of the few good things that came out of this game"

@ZLeonheart

2:23 Also it's not a 'perfect kill shot' because Leon shoots Holden twice, and we are later told that Holden is on life support.

@JPH1138

I forgot how good they got the film to look compared to some films today

Like dam this movie looks good to this day

Dude, thanks for defending the greatest cyberpunk movie of all time. 👍

@songjunw8981

Deus ex machina requires the solution to the problem to be external from the characters decisions. Just because it was Racheal and not Deckard who solve the fight, does not make it a deus ex machina as Racheal is a main character of the film... Other requirements are that the problem be either unsolvable or helpless (Just because Deckard is about to die does not make it unsolvable or hopeless) and either sudden or unexpected (Deckard already called Racheal asking for help on the case.)

@drachenmagus1604

Not to mention she broke her elbow in 8 places when she slipped and broke that window, she’s a badass because she stayed in character!!

@damionroberts6120

Jeremy sure does love to make fun of people for predicting things incorrectly when he's the same guy that thought Batman v Superman would beat Civil War.

@ZombieDasher
@

Forgot to do a sin for "that laugh". I will be putting it in my everything wrong with birdman's everything wrong with cinemasins blade runner video

@vladshluharchuk1366
@

For those who love this movie, please watch the 1927 silent film Metropolis. Most of the architecture in Blade Runner, which is PHENOMENAL by the way, was inspired by Metropolis.

@miachilders5750
@

We all know why Jeremy is picking on a movie for predictions that didn’t come true..... because he made a prediction about two comic movies that didn’t come true

@bullwinkle524
@

22:25 alternate universe: Jeremy makes a pop culture reference that isn't a sin of the movie cliché

@LokiKeanu
@

23:41 where is this scene from??

@Artifex0706

I hate how Jeremy sinned the gorgeous city shots. It's almost as if he didn't WANT to enjoy this movie.
