hidden mmr is one of the most idiotic things about competitive games. your rank is essentially cosmetic and means nothing

my account is completely messed up, my enemy's are all high ranks and play from there surmf acc and while solo queueing my teammates are higher rank but play really bad and some just throw the game a minor inconvenience. IDK i how to fix this i am stuck on D1.

"How to get more MMR" - thats not true, i had impossible 18 wins out of 19 games in immortal, my MMR didnt fixed at all. Also "perform better" - thats not true, during that streak i had very good KD (around 1,3). THE ONLY way to fix your MMR is to finish act as high at it is possible, and then wait for act reset...

im sorry this cant be true, ive been playing for the past 3 days straight either team or match mvpeing for a win or a loss. I am douing with my friend who is higher rr than me and consistantley out performing him. Last game we played i only got 1 more kill than him, in a lobby almost full of golds i got 15 rr he got 25. Not only this my past 10 games ive lost 2 matches, and almost all of them i have been top 3 on the leaderboard

I gained +34 when I match mvp'd one time (32-9-3}, but when I lose 10-13, i lose 30rr, why do I lose so much rr when i lose by not much?

to get mmr is it exclusively linked to comp or can you get more mmr in other modes like deathmatch and unrated

I've always wondered... Does anyone know if your ability use makes a difference in the rr you win on your games? I mean, everytime you finish a game there's this data of how much you used your abilities per round. So I always try to have it the highest possible, meaning always use the free abilities at the end of the round (mainly recharged smokes as I main smokes) and I feel like it works but of course I'm not actually sure.

Another thing is maybe ability use is not important but credits managing is, so the important thing would be using the most abilities possible while spending less credits... I don't know. If someone does, i would appreciate you share that knowledge with me. Thanks.

I was hardstuck Silver 1 and don't play comp anymore but whenever I play literally any game mode I get qued up with plat/diamond and ascendend...
I think this system sucks. Why dont I just see the MMR but only the fucking Silver 1...

after i hit bronze3 i have never played with another bronze only with full silver with 2-3 gold so now i'm stuck in 'bronze2' wtf is this if the game thinks i belong on higher rank just put me on silver or gold why bronzeeeee i look even more bad than i already am because of this

The real bummer is when I play against ascendants when im in silver and only get 18 from a win

ALSO LOSER QUEUE IS REAL.Riot devs used the same loser queue from LOL, the lower ur mmr, the lower your teams mmr so ur teammates will be on the loss streak like you while the enemy is probably on a win streak. If this happens, either stop playing for AT LEAST 3 days or queue with friends.

What do I take from this Video:
The rank system is still terribly designed for a team based shooter.
If you Q with people together, you're more likely to get smurfs, what leads to frustration.
But if you solo Q you're more likely to get not communicating, toxic or worse Mates what leads to frustration.
Then you have the rank reset, and you somehow can't get to your former rank you get to a point where you're frustrated
And in if you reach a certain level of frustration, you create a smurf yourself.

From there is your decision to start ruin other's game experience too.
Or you get higher ranked and start climbing again but also start to question your own sanity because your main still can't get out of gold.

I have never rank up to plat. Hardstuck in g1/g2 for years and starting from this season, they always put me in plat matches(both team mostly plat) and I lose a lot. Always end up in 7th-10th ACS no matter win or lose. I am not having fun in the comp anymore.

I have never seen a worse ranked system in any game. I have been playing this game since 2022 chill, recently I started ranked and boy is it a hell of a nightmare. On an average win, since im not the best, I get around 18-20 points, if there is a smurf in my team they are just killing everyone and I end up getting 10 points but oh boy if the enemy has a smurf and stomps us 3-13 with score 5-15, im getting punished for playing vs smurfs with -27 (this happened yesterday). Today we got trolled by Tejo and Brim from our team, throwing utilities on us, finishing 1-13 match with personal result 1-14 and I got - 29 for being trolled, thats absolutely insane. Never seen such a trash ranked system in my life, I seriously consider stop playing valorant because of this system, there is no way I can climb with such system and such harsh punishment and little to no award if you are not team mvp on a win which is a rare ocasion since 80% of the games there is a smurf reyna in the elo im playing. And thats happening in fucking silver elo which is considered on the lowest side, every game that I played, in the lower elos, you get more points when you win than losing, that way if you consistenly win a bit more than losing you are going to climb. With the way it is, I need to have lik 5 or 6 consecutive wins in order to climb from silver 1 to 2, hoping there wont be a smurf in the enemy team in between games, that will cost me -25 which is 1/4 of the rank, absolute insanity
