believe me, everything I say in videos I've done wrong in my 30+ years of living with cats. If your home is stressing your cats...it's cool! Just forgive and move on with solutions. And spread the good word!

You can be stressing your cat out every day and have no idea!

0:00 Introduction

I think they primarily get stressed by the humans they live with who are clueless about "catness".

9:16 The Challenge Line

My cat has been acting kind-of-strange lately... Overly active, overly vocal. No other signs of distress of any kind and watching this I understood: we are approaching winter here in the Southern Hemisphere and this has been the cloudiest autumn I can account for. He is missing the sun! My poor baby... Thanks for your videos, always useful!

I have panic attacks myself .when I have stress. So I have empathy for the poor cat. One cat Mackie picked up on my apartment stress and he sat down on my lap and we watched cartoons together

17:24 Closing Thoughts

I adopted a black cat about a month ago. He spent the first couple of weeks hiding under the bed. Someone else had adopted him before me and brought him back. Now I got him. He has come around and is not hiding anymore. I don't know why someone had brought him back, because he is a real lovebug.

My 12 yr old cat and I lived in a super quiet neighborhood. We recently moved to the city, and there is a lot of vehicle noise. I feel like he can't fully relax like before because of all the noise. We can't even hear birds chirping anymore. I feel so guilty. 😢

CONSULTATIONS

I honestly thought the cats love it when I bring in new furniture and move things around. I live with an extreme cat guy and im getting used to the chaos. He only had one little couch and I like to sit down and have seats for our guests. I find better stuff and switch it out all the time. They seem to always use them as well. I thought the crazy look was fascination😂 they are outdoor cats mostly. I just took on a kitten and I want this cat to be an indoor cat that doesn't have to struggle the way the cats I fixed at the ranch I lived at or like these feral cats in the trailer park I live at now. Your videos are helping me understand how to make that happen for this little feller. It was either being neglected by its mother or wanted to be left alone because I kept seeing it off to the side. Then I was out in a thunderstorm and it was wandering around and I thats when I brought it inside

One thing that helped me before, was a little call out of "loud noise" a few seconds before you do something loud, turning on the sink disposal, bathtub, tv, having to drop something, whatever. It's just communication, letting them know when something is happening so they aren't startled

I know my kitty loves routine and when it's off, it throws her off. Like if I normally come home for lunch at 12 on Saturdays but I was given a late, 1pm lunch.

I definitely think I probably overstimulate my kitty. I can talk a little bit loud. Sometimes, I have the tv on a little loud and she is still a skitty kitty. I'm going try to keep the tv quieter and talk quieter to her.

New cat Dad of one yr here. Your channel has been such a blessing. It makes me such a better owner, I have to be honest. I was kind of nervous rescuing two kittens after retiring from the military. I take the responsibility really serious. Like everything I’ll only accept 100% effort from myself to ensure they have the best life possible and you have really helped me fill in the gaps. A lot of things I would never have realized being new to this, mostly the little things that are missed by so many. I see it like this, the difference in good and great are the details. You have those details. Thank you.

Hi JacksonGalaxy, my sis put me on your videos and I’m hooked!! You are THEEE BEST Cat Whisperer!! So this is the first cat I’ve had and he’s about 5-6months and just got neutered and had the worst day ever. He has ALWAYS been super sweet, loves strangers coming into the house, loves everyone & even during his first vet appt when he got microchipped. Unfortunately, this time he is not a happy camper and gave everyone a hard time at the vet getting neutered. They even put him in a hard crate because he was banging on the crate hissing, trying to get out. They said they sedated him but it did not seem like any sedation was left when we picked him up. I know he’s in a lot of pain and stressed out so I had to move him into his crate at home. I don’t want to keep him there for long but he is still hissing, whining, and trying to grab and bite. Will you please have a video on a situation like this and how to help him recover from the neuter surgery? Thank you sooo much!! 💚🐾🐾

hi! my cat has a peeing problem, she pees on everyone’s beds, especially if the bed has a certain “outside” smell. we’ve told her doctor multiple times and taken her to the vet multiple times. but the doctor keeps saying it’s a behavioral problem and she’s perfectly healthy. however, no matter what we do to reverse her behavioral problems, she doesn’t stop. what are some good fixes for this? we aren’t sure what even is the root cause to this behavioral issue. we just know she does it when she wants attention and when she wants to make a “statement”. she’s a very high maintenance cat, she’s some kind of mixed persian/munchkin

This is so so informative and I don’t know what we would do without you! I laughed about the food. My cat won’t eat anything except crap. She’s 19 mind you. So she’s entitled to her opinion as she used to eat everything and anything when she was younger and my vet says she’s the healthiest 19 year old (rescue) cat he’s ever seen (live in Hong Kong!) . But changing the litter was really useful. I’m about to have to use a different litter due to not being able to get the one I use, and would have tossed the old out and brought in the new. But won’t now. Will gradually introduce it. So thank you Jackson Galaxy. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

My male cat 5 y/o and female cat 3y/o don’t really like each other.
I always thought two cats together are gonna cuddle and clean each other and be all cute.
Is that normal that they kind of avoid each other? 😂😅❤

at 1:50 hes not joking, my moms cat suddenly stopped using the litter box and despite me telling her she should she didnt take him to the vet. he ended up having tumors that was causing him pain when he pooped. unfortunately, the vet said that they were placed in such a way they wouldnt be able to get to them.

I have 2 male cats ( cloud and tiger ) both 5 years old and they are together since they are 4 months old, also i have female cat ( 3 years old ) , they all fixed ( spayed and neutered)
Before 12 days Tiger suddenly attacked cloud and they get in huge fight for the first time ever i got both checked in the vet , cloud has gallbladder inflammation and the vet gave me some medicines for him ( although there was no symptoms at all but the blood test and the ultrasound shows the inflammation)
I separated cloud in another room
But the female cat and tiger still don’t want cloud
Tiger keep hissing and want to fight again, the female cat just run away
They still separated but i tried to let all of them in neutral room ( living room) , when the get close to cloud they get angry
So is this temporary until cloud get better or will they be like this forever 😢 , and if there any tips or something i can help with

I've been watching these videos just recently, trying to figure out why my cat is stressed out he's constantly licking his privates and peeing on the dog bed, and will sometimes pee on the kitchen chairs. He's 7 and neutered a few weeks ago his first episode of peeing at random he peed on the kitchen table, kept walking and just stopping to pee at random. we have taken him to the vet and ruled out any medical issues, now he does have sediment/crystals in his bladder however he was treated for UTI and doesn't have one. we have also switched his food to a prescription urinary based one to help prevent the development of more crystals. Its been over a week since we started this new food and he is the pickiest cat i know. however we were finally able to find a safe food that he actually likes. So we are over a week in and he is still constantly licking himself, and has taken to constantly peeing on the dogs bed. now i have three dogs and two cats him included. nothing has really changed in the house, me and my mom are stuck on why the heck he would all of the sudden start urinating on the dog bed and kitchen chair cushions. we have 4 boxes in the house at various locations they get scooped every other day and fully changed once a week. this has been the norm since day one. I'm lost any help from anyone would be appreciated.

Purrs and meows Jackson. I've been a fan of yours for a long time now and just recently subscribed to your YouTube channel. I've been a die hard cat lover as long as I can remember but during the past couple of years I've developed a serious interest in cat health, happiness, quality of life, and preventive cat issues. I'm sure this began about 2 years ago when me and my wife had to make that very difficult yet unselfish decision to have to transition both of them 3 weeks apart. We couldn't believe we were doing this twice let alone once. Muffin was about 20 in human years and Smokey was about 16. Smokey crossed the Rainbow Bridge 1st with diabetes and a tumor behind his eye. Muffin who was absolutely himself quickly stopped eating, and he was peeing everywhere except his box. We brought him to the vet and had kidney issues and although we didn't want to let go of the only cat we had left we knew we would have been selfish to keep him in his pain just so we didn't have to grieve. In any case I started asking vets all kinds of questions and poked their brains for as much information I could digest in the hopes of finding out how we can be great cat parents, prevent preventable issues and injuries and how we could provide the best possible environment and life for any future cats. We decided to let the good Lord decide when we were ready to bring another cat into our lives. 10 months later we were once again blessed with the amazing fur baby thats sitting next to me right now as I type this comment Samson. He was 3 1/2 and we will be hitting our first year with him on August 21 of 2025 and he is the epitomy of a very healthy and happy cat. I'll never forget our beloved Muffin and Smokey and God obviously used this situation to bless us with some knowledge of some things we can do but my hunger for as much knowledge and education as I can get became paramount for me. I would love to see some videos on things we can do to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any issues that are within our reach and not a normal part of cat life. Thank you for everything you do for our fur babies and God bless you as well. Billy....

@jackson, PLEASE talk about F.I.C. in cats!!! My male cat was just diagnosed even though I was feeding him wet food with added water. I want to be knowledgeable about this. What supplements I can give him? I don’t want to feed him prescription food and anxiety pills for life. He is only 4. Thanks

Greetings and purrs Jackson Galaxy. Me and my wife are very devout feline family member owners and have been all our lives. In October of 2023 we had to do the unheard of and put the only 2 cats we had to rest only 3 weeks apart. It was truly a devastating experience but I also know that it was the most unselfish decision we've ever had to make. We took about 10 months to grieve and process then we were blessed with our current fur baby Samson. We adopted him at approx 3 1/2 years old and he's had to be rehomed 4 times once due to the condemnation of the building we were living in. He's an absolutely amazing cat and adapted very well and quickly each time. We're now in our forever home and have been for a year. He's a very social, playful, interacting, gentle cat who is absolutely no burden. He's a very mellow cat as far as getting into trouble or destroying things and never gets into things or even climbs on furniture. Obviously his previous owners were pretty good with him. In any case the reason I'm trying to make contact with you is over the past 24 hours July 30-31 2025 he's pretty much stopped playing, jumping in our laps and his typical daily behaviors. He's eating, drinking and doing the basics but I'm starting to relive the Smokey and Muffin (the 2 we put to rest) all over again. I'm sure I'm overthinking and reacting but he's definitely stressed and there's no obvious signs of physical injury. I believe it's possibly due to a pretty loud but non angry scream and a few loud swear words when I knocked over a glass of milk and killed my cell phone. I tried interacting with him but I was told to let him come to me on his terms. It's breaking my heart to feel so powerless and not be able to bring him comfort. We are scheduling a visit with his veterinarian and watching him closely yet giving him his space. However going forward we were wondering what the possibility of having you contact us directly? We understand that you are being saught by many and have family and a busy career but we have so many questions and concerns about cat care, behaviors, preventive care etc that comments on YouTube aren't enough. If there is a chance we could talk to you that would be a greatly appreciated saving grace. We would be happy to give you our contact information by email and are totally fine with you contacting us from a private or blocked number. We totally understand if you are unable to do this and if you could at least let us know that you did see this comment and offer any advice on how to destress a cat and anything else you think could help. Thanks so much for all you do for our feline family members everywhere. 😺
