I would recommend a different title and thumbnail format.. Normally channels that use these types of thumbnails and titles are fully AI-generated, so I almost didn’t click this one.. So yeah, lots of people will skip this

Thank You For Watching (:

EQ / Equalizer - 0:00

No bs straight to the point, clear and simple explanations, visual examples for the eye learners AND sound test??? Yeah this is easily one of the best formats I've seen for explaining music theory. A lot of times it's just someone talking into the camera which is still of course very informative, but having the visuals/sound test plus explaining to me like I'm a child (thank you for that 🙏) def helps put things in perspective

— @siah201

Compression - 1:23

Reverb - 2:45

Song name please 2:11

Getting real tired of industries obliterating technical language.

They're calling signal Normalization "compression;" what they're calling "compression" isn't at all related to what computers and EM devices do to "compress"
Same with a limiter--it's doing the same thing as "compression" but the normalization range is for the upper bound not a more dynamic range.

No wounder audio people don't understand actual compression at all.

Flanging was one method to induce phase offset. It's silly to still call it flanging because flanging has no relation to what's actually happening to the signal--it's just an old reference to HOW the signal used to be manually offset in the time domain.

@kieran9363

Equalizer and Compression are no audio effects. Those are signal processors. They change the whole signal. Audio effects take a dry signal and add some wet signal to it, like Reverb or Chorus

Thank you for explaining these effects. I've used a lot of them without really understanding what they are for or how they work.

Saw the thumbnail and thought “oh I know all those better than my own hand.” Then I saw “Flanger”💀now I need to know what a Flanger is cause I’ve never heard of it and I’ve been in production/engineering school for over half a year now lol

I’m sure most people don’t care as long as the song is a banger lol at least from what I’ve heard people say. People won’t notice what we as producers do.
