Thank you for this helpful video! Iโll be flying to Taiwan in roughly 36 hours. ๐ Going through your tips/check list, it seems Iโve done everything thatโs necessary.
I think my only worry is how to order food and drinks, because even if I can use Google Translate to figure out the available items, I still have no idea how to say my order. It might work at sit-in restaurants that give you a physical menu or places which have self-order terminals, but what about food stalls or coffee shops where the menu is without pictures and just hanging on the wall? ๐

Beyond idiotic to recommend using airport bureaux de exchange. As in every other country in the world, for the last 20 years it's been massively cheaper to just withdraw from a free ATM with a zero fee card
@turkeyphantThanks for all the informative videos! Just wondering, how much cash would you recommend carrying in Taiwan - say, per day?

@dheiskie04Iโm American living in Korea and Iโm happy to see the train system is super similar to Korea. So I wonโt have trouble getting around
@Sammies98Im Taiwanese. The tap water is NOT drinkable.
@labubuahbubuLoved the insights in this video!! I am going to Taipei July-August (not optimal haha) for language school and staying with a homestay family. I wanna call my parents while Im there and because of that wanted to ask if e-sims like with airalo also include some free phone call minutes? we alr checked out some providers but they only offered mobile data.
and do you know if these arrival cards are also provided during the flight or in the airport? I have had that be the case for a few destinations so I just wanted to check.
End dec around 20 until new year. It will be winter / autum?

masterโs for 4 months. I am super excited! Thank you for this great video! Super useful.
Whats your opinion to get purchase ticket online or ticket booth?
@aaimay9149Always love seeing Taiwan videos but one thing that drives me crazy is when YouTubers says Taipei=Taiwan:
Taipei - Seoul - Tokyo
Taiwan - S. Korea - Japan
Please stop saying going to Taipei is like going to Korea or Japan. Taipei is just a small part of Taiwan. Nobody says going to Tokyo is like visiting Japan, so visiting Taipei is not seeing Taiwan and Taipei is just a fraction of what everything Taiwan has to offer.
When charging your power bank, you showed some weird 3 prong plug. You should clarify that Taiwan uses basically the same 2 prong (or 3 prong grounded) plug and 110 volts as the United States (and other countries as well).
@stephengravning9478$5 from the TaoYuan airport to Taipei Main Station on the Purple line!
@rainbowpony425I was there during the major Earthquake last year. I was on the opposite side of the island so it was a minor rumble for me but I was at the epicentre a few days previously. First experience of an Earthquake so was kinda crazy.
@ellbo2Thanks for the vlog. I am currently planning my first trip and found your video quite helpful.
