'i' is basically 'ay' short a"ah" plus "y". I think English is the only one to not pronounce i as e which causes mistranslations of other languages to English. The long e in English is also suppose to be held longer when pronounced.

Hello teacher , I really have a problem in the letter e and i in long words I often commit spelling mistakes for example instead of discrimination I write discremination or privelege rather than privilege , please advise me what to do because they pronounced the same.

One thing I never noticed before is that if you take three letter words and the -it postfix for most letters of the alphabet it forms an 'it' word: bit, fit, git, hit, kit, lit, mit, nit, pit, q(u)it, rit, sit, tit, wit, zit

I like the part when she said (e) pronounces as m(ee)t & ect.. However if we take meet and make it met its not pronounced the same. Just like I said same and pronounced the (e) at the end without 2 (ee)... so my question is, If we are using 1 (e) the how will we pronounce it?

I know this was uploaded years ago. I wish the most popular language of the World had been more consistent. To be honest, It's totally unlogical. I am coming from a phonetic language btw.
