EMILIE KISER EXCLUSIVE: The Loss That Changed Her Forever

Video Overview & Insights

Emilie Kiser sits down with Jay for her first in depth conversation about the loss of her son, Trigg, and what life has looked like in the months after. Emilie speaks candidly about grief, guilt, marriage, motherhood, and the pressure of navigating tragedy while also living publicly online. Instead of trying to offer perfect answers, this episode focuses on the reality of surviving something life-altering one moment at a time.

I feel so bad for her

— @fatmab2402

The conversation also shines a light on the importance of pool safety, prevention, and the measures that can help protect families from unimaginable loss. Emilie opens up about therapy, boundaries, support systems, and the reality that grief doesn’t disappear, it becomes something you learn to carry. It’s a deeply honest conversation about love, accountability, healing, and finding a way to keep living after life changes forever.

In this episode you'll learn:

Realistically, brady was the cause of this. He took his eyes off trigg because he was gambling. Trigg suffered for 7 minutes in that pool and his dad was focused more on a game than him. That is the fact & he should be held accountable for that

How to Show Up for Your Family in Pain

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting. Strength doesn’t mean pretending you’re okay. It simply means continuing to love, continuing to show up, and continuing to hope even when life feels different than before.

Oh Emilie, thank you for this really raw insight of your feelings and your life. I think about you constantly. You are such a strong woman and I have so much respect for you. You deserve all the good things in life. Much love to you 🤍

With Love and Gratitude,

Jay Shetty

I didn’t knew who she was until this terrible accident but from then I have followed her and she is so kind and generous, it is insane how tragic things can happen to such good people. I despise whoever hated on her and her husband cause accidents can happen to anyone it is part of being human

I’ve discovered their family after the tragedy. I don’t have kids and I don’t know if I’ll ever have them but their story really made me open my eyes and really made me question myself on how I react and how I perceive people and how easy it is to judge a situation you will never know. I’ve followed her since then and, I sadly had to go through loss a few months later. And even tho I’m not going through child loss, her perception of grief really helped me going through hard days, and once again she opened my perception and my heart to accept my feelings. Even if we did not go through the same events at all, she still helps people in the different ways grief hits us. It also really gave me awareness about the danger and how easy it is to have something happening to you, and that you should never play about anything when you know you can prevent something from happening. I’m really thankful that she uses her platform and feel comfortable to be around us and share what happened to her and her family. She really has a lot of strength and I hope she knows that a lot of us just want her to feel safe and comfortable and hope she can live a life that will be full of good moments and memories 🫶🏻

Didn’t see a real tear shed. PS she has a weird photo of an unfenced pool, with wealthy adults facing away from it hung up in her guest bedroom. This was recent. She sacrificed that little boy to Molech.

I feel nothing but compassion and sadness for her and her family what they're going through. It's every parent's worst nightmare come true. Sending her and her family nothing but love.❤

On here talking about water safety, yet her friend Madi posted a video of the children all riding on a boat with no life jackets😵‍💫 you'd think she'd be more adamant about children wearing them.

I see Trigg in her face. It’s comforting and heartbreaking all at once.

More than anything, I wish I could wrap my arms around her and take even a fraction of the pain away. But what I do see is incredible strength…whether she realizes it or not. I see Jesus carrying her through every step.

My prayer is that God continues to cover their family with His peace, His hope, and the promise that this goodbye is not forever. Because while we grieve here, I truly believe Trigg is more alive right now than any of us can fully comprehend, resting in the presence of the One who loves him most.

Does she mention anything about Avery Woods and their falling out? Anything about how Avery posted that TikTok with those necklaces in honor of Trigg but prior to Em and her family confirming the news?
I still can’t understand how her “bestfriend” at that time would do that to her 💔

Jay, thank you for giving Emilie this platform to share her story. As a silent follower for the last 5 years, Emilie and her family have touched my life in so many ways! Emilie is such a bright spot on the internet and her return to her platform after what has happened this past year, alongside the negativity that her family has received, is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your story Emilie, your experience has saved many lives. Thank you for brightening my life on the daily, for the positivity & honesty you pour into the internet and for sharing this very vulnerable experience. May Trigg’s story save many lives and may the joy he possessed live on & continue to spark joy & remembrance in each of us every time we stumble across a Jellycat!🤍
