Efficient training of Chinese listening - Intermediate Level

Video Overview & Insights

Repeatedly listen to the pronunciation of native speakers, and it will really improve your listening level!

This video is so awesome. Thank you so much for making it. Is there any chance you still have the original copy of the video and could upload it again, because the audio cuts out at 1:42:11. I saw that other people mentioned that too...

— @chrisfrye5153

The recording will be played four times in total. First, it will be played twice a, and you can guess what the recording is about. Then the recording will be played twice , and the subtitles will be displayed on the screen, so you can check the answers.

Basic Chinese Words Flashcards 1179 - HSK 1 to 4 Vocabulary (汉语口语水平) - https://youtu.be/bVshJV7SXWM

I really liked how this only speaks in Chinese, and repeats the same phrase multiple times. I like that you get just the sound at first to try to understand, and then I can glance at the subtitles to check if I was right. Thank you for making this. Do you have additional videos using this format?

This is excellent, but it would be better to show the Chinese characters alone, before adding the English translation.

Thanks for the video, I'm trying to improve my listening skills and this format is pretty good.
I tend to mark down every instance where I think Chinese is unnecessarily vague, like: 他给自己定下每天早上散步的规矩
-Could mean: He makes it a rule to take a walk every morning = simply scheduling the walks
-Could also mean: He has set rules for his everyday morning walks = setting rules by which the already scheduled walks would take place (ex. only walk in parks, don't have breakfast before the walk)
My question is, what exactly in the context could help me eliminate the second interpretation?

Hi,
first : thank you very much - these sentences and vocabulary are VERY useful.
Just one thought:
It is useful, if you want to learn by heart and to acquire vocabulary and ways, Chinese say things.
But if you want to train listening comprehension skills, it's tough. Understanding isolated sentences in Chinese is very difficult. It would be great to have videos with dialogues instead. Short dialogues are difficult to find online.

It’s hard for people to learn from this because the English translation is flipped from how the translation is printed.

It’s easier to just write it in English as it’s displayed in Chinese. Otherwise how are you supposed to learn which words are which?

Why is it like this?

Somehow the video got corrupted starting at 1:42:05: same image of word 272 and no sound. A few months ago, I was able to listen to the whole thing -- so something happened in the interim.
