Video Overview & Insights
Ed Sheeran demonstrates that not all artists are born with natural talent by playing an early recording of himself when he was younger trying to sing.

Like him in every song then
@sean2kk8He actually sounds like a woman singing in that clip. I like his personality not really a fan of his music
@Tina-o1e9zIm about to be 20 years old and im try to learn to sing
@ajwashington3450Greetings to Mr Ross and Mr Sheeran!
I had the same experience, like Ed in the recording he played. He didn't give up, though. I did, for I was told I don't have what is needed and I am fantasising on the piano. I believed that BS. The true is, it is often a luxury nowadays. It is like the education.
Hence new practices and ways of learning must be found.
Although I am 44 years old now, I got inspired from this story (until this day) and the music he plays.
I promise in 10 years time I will make variations of two of his songs and play them on the piano. I swear he will appreciate it.
Even if I fail, the great humble example he gave me to follow, is worth my small effort.
"...I am a dreamer, but I am not the only one.
I hope some day you will join us..."
This is my level now:

And I want to be once on a stage with Ed Sheeran. This is not a dream, but a goal, because it is very realistic. It will also practicing and fails and research. Also fun and constant personal growth.
The satisfaction and appreciation in the process are beyond simple pleasure,
even when you hit the wrong note. That is how you learn about shape and reason.
Researchers proved after years of research, that is never too late to start learning and expressing one's self through music.
The music for me will always be mystery. It is so huge and composed of so many layers, I am sure that people are yet to find what is the music all about. More music applications have to be integrated and present in our daily lives.
More research and musical understanding is needed.
Did you know that the music is part of our DNA?
Now you do!
When I think of all, that surrounds us and within us, trying to understand the world and the Universe and what is our purpose, the music is always part of the answer. Always.
We all feel the power of music over us, the way it shapes our mood or make us stop and think and see what we really do.
It is time for the music to stop being accepted and approached, mainly as an art,
but also as a main basic tool of education.
Why?
One, who dears to comprehend and learn the music ways, is ready to go beyond and learn more things. The music prepares us for the next step as people and will accompany us. If we sing together, if we play together and follow one common rhythm, tuning our collective differences into mutual perspective.
Those, who cannot see the point in my words or assume, that the above statements are exaggeration, show the need of revision of the education worldwide - new ways of developing musical skill from early age.
The sooner - the better.
The music may teach you empathy, compassion, discipline, precision, how to control your emotions and desires, creativity, physical state, how to express one's self.
Many of our best minds, who helped the people to progress are found to be kn a very deep connection with the music. I don't even need to give examples. There are so many.
We just have to make this effort together. The sooner - the better.
We have all, what is needed for letting it happen. We just have to Let it happen.
Before we start the next war,
before we lose hope,
before the stupid leaders destroy and lie to us,
before we choose being stupid and ignorant,
before we explore further the Universe,
Before we get stronger,
Before we start believing too much in ourselves.
Help the next generations.
Music is in their DNA too.
We don't have to do the impossible. Just to make sure it stays there forever.
In moments of total isolation and destruction, music is what unites us and brings us closer.
That is, while we have time, of course.
Wait for me Mr Sheeran 🤘
This has inspired me to take up my guitar again. When I grow up I'm going to be the next Ed Sheeran. The only problem is I'm 43.
@langbumYeah alright used tampon

@jillturner8680I can't name a single Ed Sheeran song but I will be sure to find some now.. massive respect to this man for showing people there's real work involved in becoming 'talented.'
@CryptoCommonSenseI hate his music, but it takes a lot of balls to do this.
@Spuck-666I would think that Ed is a musicians' musician.
@BA-ng9bxThis is absolute truth. When I started singing in 2020 I was God awful. I hit obstacles, plateaus and everything else. But I kept learning and kept practicing and now I'm decent. Maybe even good. Now great yet. That comes in the next chapter of DragonBall Z
I have a Playlist of my singing progress on my youtube Channel call my monthly singing journey
RIP PEGGY MITCHELL
@nottryingtobefamous9399"When ed sheeran was shit" he still is.
@Doctor_FrankensteinGod he is so awful in every way. terrible music. why cant he wash and comb his hair?
@Doctor_Frankensteine
@MCInfernoThat also was before his voice got mainly tho so who knows but maybe it was like tha when hes voice popped to until he practice who knows
@Renado009Just opened my mixed voice a few days ago
It's true guys practice bcs it's worthy aff!!
Btw hes the reason why some people become clowns in the voice show when they think they can just work hard in the end he cannot say the truth about talent cuz if he said talent is the only thing then most people gonna be depressed and soft ash so he would give people fake hope neither to spit some facts
@BorhaneBorhane-u7fThank you for sharing this, my kids best lesson for a while. 🙇🏻♀️

@anelamilovanovic5377what the hell is lewis hamilton doing here LOL
@JohnDoe-t3ilol
@ShigaracksI find that this may be one of the most inspirational videos for aspiring artists everywhere
@almerakbarYou’ve learnt how to play the guitar and how to sing, I’ve been able to sing all of my life, I say it’s probably because your voice was dropping but I would argue that if you warmed up you’d probably even be alright at singing even going through puberty
@JOSHULAFAIRYHonest humble funny and very talented
@kyleglover8582Am i the only one who thinks it was not bad?
@SincerelySadIs this you're first public God message?
@PaulOstavitzWho's that guy with ed Sheeran apart from Jonathan ?
@mvp.721Giaan hain aap
@AmanMishra47I use this video everytime when someone tries to discredit someone by saying that they got lucky with genetics or like you were born with that skill. NO, people worked hard for their things, you should too.
@MattieTobiThis video is actually what got me to cultivate my talent. I always wanted to sing because I’ve always written my own songs. I didn’t just want to be a songwriter, so I began rapping. Got good at that, won a couple freestyles. Then I saw this video and started singing as much as possible, working on my voice, until I developed my signature style. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗮 𝗘𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘆...
@ipleathetv6334😂😂😂
@michaelkrahe2346First - I love Ed Sheeran; however he WAS born with talent. I understand what he is saying about the hard work and I don’t take that away from him, but even if I put in DOUBLE his time, I’d never be able to sing, play guitar, or write music like he does.
@lindafilomeno7398Ok who was his singing coach I need them
@Lou-mw4yydid i see lewis hamilton back there at the end?
@low_crossAnd then he started using autotune
@TangentPlutoIs it real? I mean is it for real or just for the show? Because the guy kills it today and I find it very hard to believe he started from there
