Super cool, but, musically (mostly "melody", harmony, structure and texture) this is rather pedestrian. No genius here, just some craft and experience. + a cool toy. If you want a real melody or interesting harmonies Sheeran is not what you would learn from. That scene from "Yesterday" ("Penguins" vs "The Long and Winding Road") IS the truth about this kind of music vs true artistic value. I enjoy Sheeran songs, but let's not throw away the genius word word too much, shall we?
