— @frankcherry3810

1 tablespoon (10g) Diamond Crystal kosher salt or 1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt

1 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes optional

Sounds like yall need to get to know your butcher. I don't buy prepackaged meat when I can I want to look the guy in the eye that's packaged the meat. Crack some jokes bull shit. IDK sounds like you're from new york or up new England. It's different in the south.

— @alexduke5402

2 tablespoons (26g) neutral oil avocado, vegetable, canola, etc

1 stick (113g) unsalted butter

The young fellow James has personality and good taste .I love rice with garlic sauce.Try Filipino garlic fried rice .Yummy

— @donallan6396

8 cloves garlic - minced

1 large shallot finely - minced

I wish we had a Costco. 🫩 BUT we have a plethora of small family farms sprinkled around our Northwoods here. The meat and poultry can’t be beat. Of course we’re paying premium but we’re getting premium. So… 🤷🏼‍♀️. We do what we can. This recipe is a real winner. I’m digging out some of my beef steaks to give it a try. Hey, ya gotta trust The Taste Tester! 😁

— @PattiWinker

3 large green onions - minced

1/4 cup parsley - minced

My Mister no longer likes eating steak. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m always looking for ways to use up beef steaks in my freezer. THIS will work! Thank you! 👏

— @PattiWinker

salt and pepper - to taste

VIDEO EDITOR:

Looks delicious. James did great and I am glad that mom made sure that he could finish his review!

The FDA allowes beef from other countries into the US and if it is processed in any way; cut, packaged, ect they can put the USDA label on it. That's some bull!

@SunnyinFlorida
@

Modified it somewhat by adding a blend of sour cream and Greek yogurt - into the beef. ....delicious!!
Thank you.

@shug2795

We import beef from other countries. As long as they cut and package it in the US they can out the USDA lanel on it.

Just made this, incredible.

Made this yesterday for my girlfriend and roommate, turned out absolutely fantastic. And I used to think I couldn't cook!! Thanks so much for giving the confidence to cook really delicious food to the people who need that push. You do great work!

Its just the wife and I for Christmas today, and this is what we're making for dinner! Keep up the great work and don't let those pesky comments from people irritate you! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

We plan to try this with mashed potatoes 😊

The butcher at my local market says USA exports the best meat. I have to travel almost an hour to go to a good butcher to get prime meat that IS actually prime.

I'd love to see you do a recipe for New England-style steak tips. not a lot of places serve them anymore!

I have been known to carefully pull up labels to check underneath, if I think they're covering up something on steaks, like a big blob of fat or gristle. Considering how expensive meat is nowadays, I don't feel bad about it because I think they're playing a dirty game with those tactics.

Yo, Jimmie D, I am subscribed to your channel but cruise the food network. I like your style. You are easy going. I don't research people but, I bet you are from the NE . . . NY? Old Time NYer's are brutally honest and that's what I like about you. I.E., "The butcher put the label over the fatty part of the meat." Jimmie, that's attention to detail and that's what I like about youse. You make every day meals that people can afford. Good job. My only comment is not a criticism but a suggestion. You use your son as a critic. That's fine but, you might want to change that up some. Use the wife, a neighbor, whatever. Thanks again, Jimmie D. You are doing a good job. Cio.

I am making this and having pasta with my homemade pesto as the side dish, and a salad with my garden veggies.

Since garlic cloves vary greatly in size, a tsp/tbsp amount would be helpful in many of your videos. Having said that, this looks amazing, as do all of your creations!

Stores are also notorious for placing the meat bad side down in the package so you can't see all the fat or all the bone.

Cheaper cuts at costco taste way better than expensive cuts at groceries

How do you make the picked onions? Maybe do a homemade condiment vid. Thx

@zippy979

Can also render the fat in the pan then proceed with the sautéd of garlics and spice, unsalted butter, etc. looks amazing as is too.

Thank you for using your platform to call out deceptive tactics the grocery stores are using. More and more lately it seems. The amount of inedible chicken I cut off and throw out before cooking is sickening. I’m talking about you, ShopRite.

Im going to make this tonight looks so awesome. But I am going to make the bow tie pasta salad recipe with spinach with gorgunzola as a side dish. Thank you 😊
