EASY TAHINI (SUPER CREAMY) | the best tahini recipe
Video Overview & Insights
This easy, homemade tahini recipe is super creamy and can be used in so many different recipes - including my 3-Minute Hummus! Making tahini at home is less expensive than buying it in the store and the fresh taste makes all the difference. Just toast your sesame seeds, grind them into a tahini paste in your Vitamix and add olive oil. That's it. Enjoy!
Hi guys! You've been requesting this tahini recipe for a while - so I'm happy to oblige. Especially when there are chocolate chip tahini cookies in the pipeline. ;) Enjoy! xo - Lisa

@madamplantCan you tell me how to store the tahini refrigerate
@alveshecrdso, I JUST, found this. and am wondering if I could mix both white sesame seeds and black sesame seeds to make a tahini?? and wondering what the flavor might be like. Dont want to waste any of the seeds. so Figure I could just ask.
@dennisthemenace445If you don't have a Vitamix, should you use a food processor or can you use another brand of blender?
@mariaconsuelothomenI've never made Tahini before but I wanted to make Hummus, so ordered a 25 lb bag of dried garbonzobeans, and I just received my Sesame seeds from Amazon, it says 566 servings, so I thought this would last me a long time...
@Jillian.1John3.9-10Awesome, thank you! ๐
@darlenerhinehart1857Awesome, thank you! ๐
@darlenerhinehart1857I love you, you actually made this from scratch (the seeds). Thank you.
@shandell279I've made tahini various times and i can categorically say there is NO WAY you can add such a small amount of oil to so much sesame seed paste and have it so liquid as it is at the end of the video. It's just not possible.
And by the way unless you've got a very light mild olive oil it's best to use some other vegetable oil. Olive oil can have a rather strong flavour for tahini
Tahini!! Yummy
@raptureready9502Thank you ๐๐ป
@asmaayyad2735How long we can store this tahini
@littlevittileโค๏ธ๐๐ฟ๐น
@mansoursadigi443beautiful.......many thanx....
@joohyungyooHow long does this last? I know that citric acid or salt or other preservatives are added in the Markey tahini products to make them last longer. Curious to know how long does this last in fridge. LOVED it by the way!!
@MahaYusufEntrepreneurI just used my Vitamix A3500 and the paste never turned creamy despite adding additional EVOO. The blender cup got so hot it turned the paste dark brown so I had to toss it out. Advise please.
@isabelcardenas1583How long is the shelf life?
@jayantiroy1476Thanks for keeping it simple โฆ
@debbra-lynHi , I wanted to try this tahini recipe but can you tell for how long does it stay good in the fridge ?
@JourneyOfADesiNo way so liquid by just adding 2 tablespoons oil...
@colette-j8gThat's not your recipe. You stole the recipe from the Ethiopians.
@rmt2254Very good recipe. Thank you for sharing.
@serdalkaptanI might try this using sunflower seeds
@dianegerlach2454Where do i get serving jar?
@meenakshigholap6634That looks great! I have unhulled sesame seeds; can that be used?
@capecynHow long will it last in the fridge?
@estrellasmorningstar2921Which one produces better tahini Food processor or Vitamix? I have both but never made tahini.
@WeaponGradeAdding some lemon and garlic to see how to it goes ๐

@omMohamed-dw5mnGreat
@fuwadal-yaarabi9944I did mine with hulled sesame seeds but it came out very bitter??? Why?
@ForcaPortugasThis may be odd question. . . I lost sense of smell from Covid. Is there another way of knowing I cooked seeds long enough?
@tlsnana9539did your vid show sesame meal or sesame seeds. It looked more like a meal.
@carolcasale1072I love your recipes, thank you:)
@mossgrafixUsed my new Vitamix for the first time but... Followed your directions to the letter. It was so thick with 3 TBL EVOO that I wound up adding another 2-1/2 TBL EVOO. Even then it was much thicker than yours! I sourced my sesame seeds from your link too. Why did mine need so much more oil than yours and still not be as creamy? It turned out to be very messy endeavor.
@karencampbell783Lisa you need to donate that blender now, you've been using it for years. I need it thanks ๐๐
