regarding shards.. dont sleep on mysteries.. if you are campaign farming 12-3 regularly you should have enough to help mitigate the sacreds you need, etc. imo, mysteries prob help the most with champion chase events because they can occasionally summon rares.
and dont forget to store your non-used epics for faction guardians and faction wars. dont use them as food unless you feel you have to.

and speaking of epics.. dont sleep on them. as an example, venommage, which was part of the download code when you posted the video, is a great poisoner and can really help you one key ultra clan boss. he is much easier to book than a legendary.

lastly regarding epics and faction guardians.. if its a character like deacon armstrong.. i go against the grain and empower first. deacon is like a legendary and one of the better characters on your account.. for a long time. and its not like you can get him regularly unless you are really lucky. would say the same thing for venommage. mind as well empower them.. you get all kinds of epics that are faction wars fodder use those in faction guardians. empower the epics you use the most.

U dont need to 1 key ultra nightmare demon lord, 2 key is what really matters, u can 2 key ultra, 1 key nightmare, 1 key brutal everyday and get the same rewards anyways. Trying to much to get 1 key is a bit of a mistake, its take too much time and resources if u dont get the right champs.

For the beginners, using Tholin in brutal 12-6 is easier to farm.

In the beginning, sets are more valuable than stats because you won't get very good equipment (low stages of dungeons) or very good rolls. For example, a lifesteal set helps you more. A perception set, a speed set are better to get over the caps in various content (like certain speed/accuracy in CB). Moving towards the mid-game, stats become more important, and in the end game, sets are becoming more important again.
In the beginning, the 2x events are more profitable; you require a decent pool of heroes to get you over various content.
It is very hard to do a fusion in the first 2 months or so, (unless you are a player with experience, or incredibly lucky) or until you get to farm at least NM and UNM CB.
You will have no stamina, no resources, and can't get many points in events if you can't be over lvl 16 in dungeons (except the Spider lvl 10).
Focus must be on getting a core of lvl 60 heroes with masteries and farm CB.
To get 15 sacred shards for a beginner is impossible if F2P. The 60 ancients is doable.
