Oh no! Huggy the Happy Heart is stuck while trying to spell tricky words with the suffixes -er and -est. Luckily, Sparkle the Spelling Star comes to the rescue!
Sparkle teaches Huggy the Doubling Rule, also called the 1-1-1 Rule, explaining when to double the final consonant before adding a suffix that starts with a vowel. Together, they spell the words "runner" and "fastest" so Huggy can finish a journal writing assignment for school.
