When serving in doubles pickleball, is it best for both players to approach the net at the same time after the 3rd shot? Or if one player can get up the net before the other (after the 3rd or 5th shot...), that would be OK? Thanks.
@scottdougherty2303Wow
I'm so lucky to see your video.
This is fantastic!!!! Thank you so much. It will help a lot when i play pb!!!!โค
I played a 4.0-4.5 Round Robin today and two of my partners barely got their return of serves to clear the kitchen line and they were rather soft returns. Obviously, they aren't 4.0 players. What is your advice to partners who are partnered with weak returners? Thanks!
@alohaleslieMy strategy when at the net and on the right side of the court is once I have them at the base line I do a sharp deflect angle shot to the left which almost always ends the point rather than keeping the rally going with them remaining at the baseline.
@HebrewMazzarothGood looking girl is a must
@terryvaga3461lame n long
@oleksandrmirzatitle says doubles, but youre playing singles?
@michaelh8854I am curious about the statement "you never want to take a big swing." Don't you want to take a big swing if the ball is asking for it? I feel like you should punish bad serves or bad returns with wind up, else you give up free points by playing to passively.
@branjwongThose are some very good tips. Thanks! One suggestion, though: the sharp cuts in the camera work and static are gimmicky distractions that diminish the enjoyment.
@phonsefagan3754Excellent video editing and explanations. Thank you for explaining a LOT succinctly saving me time to go and play! ๐
@Eliza-pw5wqGreat video...we are fans! We are taking lessons with Robby at Barnes. We told him to say hello to you.
@InTheMomentTravelsBut what was the girl doing there
@PanqueKassAwesome tips n very well articulated
@TommyPasserellaHey this was super helpful! I am a brand new player and didn't quite understand where you want to optimally hit your shots, so this was SO GREAT! ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ
@ForgottenCoversThis is a great video that covers the basic strategy of pickleball. A must-watch for anyone who wants to move up from beginner to intermediate/advanced. Thanks!!
@ju9piterWondering why youโre not using the Sweet Spot paddle you sell as a great paddle? Sends the wrong message. Maybe thatโs why you dropped the price. ๐
@Diegocurt73Video examples and graphics are top notch. Maybe the best I've seen for short videos.
@Scott-sm9nmGreat Video
@shargogo8876that chick just chilling.
@LetsDGBogeyFreeThanks for all the great advise, helping me progress much faster with the limited time I have to work play
@SRFUSCGThat paddle sounds great, looks like a 13mm?
@iamthekwanThanks!
@DeValera22what is the best way to practice backhand swing going straight?
@huynh9883Thanks!
@mojohand55Thank you! I found this on Fri and won our local <3.5 mens doubles on Sat ... my first tournament - as a tennis player this was super helpful - my partner and I discussed your suggested tactics through our pool play and we finished undefeated without dropping a set thru 7 matches - 11-9, 11-7 in the final - so yeah this works!! :)
@tuohy99The girl is a bit distracting
@sparshsaraogi2209Thanks!

@AlphaTennisinPittsburghI've played pickleball for 16 years and I love your personality and most of all, your humility. No arrogance.
@stlouisramsfan0310:20 I'm not subscribed to any YouTube channel because the recommendation algorithm casts a wider net. If the YouTube metrics were any good, they would have set aside the determined non-subscribers, and told you what percentage of people who give any stinkbricks at all about the subscribe button are subscribed to your channel.
@afterthesmash5:30 The required accuracy for the drop should have been explained more thoroughly. Against a very tall opponent who reaches proactively into the kitchen, you have a much narrower target to get the ball to bounce.
People aren't going to start using their mediocre drop shot if they rarely succeed because they aren't judging all of the critical success factors.
Thanks so much for your very helpful videos! I watch them over and over each week to reinforce good habits in my brain! Slowly improving with awareness and repetition! At 71 I will never have reactions from my 30โs but at least I can be more prepared and ready physically and mentally! Thanks!!
@John-cs1cjdoes he say, the third shot must " bounce" before hitting it, shouldn't it be the second shot must bounce before hitting the 3rd shot?
@markS-uw3ceGreat strategy video!
@MichelleKelley-z7qVery good lesson. I watched it again and again. Learned a lot. Thank you!
@graceyin39Good information, you obviously play at a high level. It would be interesting to see some play from the other players in your video. (Your partner only hit one ball during all the demonstration points.) It would have been helpful to see how the shots you hit help set up your partner to kill the ball.
@aggiemath7270I get lobbed a lot after i hit ball back to opponent
@a.joseph4233For the 3 shot drive do you want to hit it flat or with topspin?
@bonniek2486Just let her hit it once!
@laynelebleu3735Pickleball is America's fastest-growing sport and we like it #Pickleball
@AlphaTennisinPittsburghI thought spinning the ball on a serve was illegal. Is it not?
@sherrygoettler9747You have great advice and your content is really well edited in a way thatโs engaging, clear, and informative! Thank you!
@bryanclark1106Backhand being weaker is a myth. More things to go wrong with forehand.
@gg80108let the lady play!! I think you should let her talk too. I bet doesnt talk as fast as you.. lol . grat videos
@BajaSurfThis video is SO well done! Amazing tips and video quality.
