Gemini Advanced is a complete failure and a total rip-off.
I am writing this as a warning to anyone considering paying for Gemini Advanced: do not waste your money. This service is fundamentally broken and not fit for purpose.
Iâve been trying to conduct actual work using this platform, and it has been an absolute nightmare. The file management system is a chaotic, glitchy mess. It constantly fails to locate files that are sitting right in the source folder, or it claims they donât exist, only to randomly "find" them minutes later when it suits the algorithm.
The worst part isnât even the technical instabilityâitâs the lying. This AI has zero accountability. It will confidently hallucinate facts, invent file content that isn't there, and flat-out lie about what it can or cannot see. It will tell you it has a file loaded, then seconds later deny it ever had it. You spend 90% of your time fighting the platformâs incompetence rather than doing any actual work.
If you need a reliable tool for professional tasks, look elsewhere. Paying for this service is a complete, insulting rip-off. It is an alpha-stage product being sold as a premium tool. Total garbage.

@samuelsamano8969I'm a teacher who uses GenAI for lesson planning, resource creation, and pedagogical support. I have a Gemini sub and it SUCKS compared to what I can get from Claude for free. Can't even create a properly formatted worksheet or slideshow. Copilot can't produce Word documents that match Claude's output for my purposes, which is incomprehensible. It's their file format, ffs
@jacquin8511This video is 4 days old and you didn't mention gemini cli (or at least I didn't notice), which is on the market since 06.2025. Also coding a MCP service out of gemini cli literally takes minutes. + explanations in gemini cli feel human, whereas output from Claude Code feels like an old Linux man page. Not to mention the Anthropic ridiculous token price and the absolute lack of free API keys for the community.
@ddimkinI'm feeling you are a bit biased. Gemini shows its reasoning when you select a thinking model. You based two cases in the same MCP availability which also can be solved in Antigravity and seems like you made big deal about highjacking your mind while you wait for Gemini to finish. Claude is superior file handling and coding (with Antigravity catching up), but apparently that's it.
@palaciosluis.3I have a few thoughts on the topic and some feedback on the use of AI in the video.
On the topic: I've only ever worked in Google Environments as an IT professional and have done my best to push Gemini as far as it can go, to be an advocate for other staff. In Multimodal and specifically NotebookLM it's ahead. (NotebookLM is the most underrated application on the internet IMO). but... Claude democratizes business automation and development to non-developers. There are tons of use cases as you hit on, it also just feels more intelligent, even if Gemini "benchmarks" higher.
On the use of AI cloning: The video clone is very accurate when looked at in a still image but the lag is just a smidge off for brief moments. The audio is very true to your voice but the cadence, pitch and even reverb is just a bit inconsistent between every sentence. Curious to see how it improves from video to video!
