Do This EVERY Time You Get Paid (Paycheck Routine)

Video Overview & Insights

Make sure to do this every time AFTER you get paid. This is a great paycheck budget routine, ritual and habit. It's what I did in the past to maximize the value of my money.

Your health is the best investment you can make.

I can prove it quickly:

Option 1: you are 65 and have $500,000 in retirement, but you have diabetes, you are obese, you have had knee surgeries and your knees are bad, and you now mostly spend your time watching TV all day. You need a walker to move.

Option 2: You are 65 and have $350,000 in retirement, but you are in excellent health. You are still able to hike a mountain, and still able to bicycle, and still able to basically do all the things you did in your 30s.

I think most people would choose option 2. Not to mention that health bills will wipe out all your savings anyways.

this video feels satisfying because every transition and sound effect is timed perfectly 😭
honestly smooth pacing and clean audio syncing already make content look way more high quality than overusing flashy edits everywhere.

I used to spend my money a lot on non important stuff, just to fill the void inside of me, then I started using an expense tracker app (pennyflow) and logged in every expense daily, just seeing where my money goes, allowed me to save +800 a month, so it is all psychological.

Every thursday night I go on my credit union app to see my check in the pending column to be direct deposited the next morning. I then transfer what i'm going to pay myself for that week into my high interest savings account.
I do this every week. And then at the end of the month , using a zero balance budget , I itran anything over the cushion I have in my checking account into high interest savings.
I can do this because I live below my means. And I am debt free. There's a bonus in the months with five weeks in them , and that bonus is putting the entire fifth week check into the high interest savings account. May July and October of 2026 are 3 such examples.

I believe we need to divide our income to monthly expenses and savings at the start of every month just after being paid.

7:45 I would say max out employer match, but also see if you have an option to start a Roth 401k, even if just your contributions are roth the upfront tax burden will be a lot less than paying all the taxes when you retire.

The bottom line is ..."64% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck "not because they really want or choose to, but because they have no choice and they need to survive. These days people are not earning much, even with college degrees. Student Loans are frustrating and the economy has lost it's mind with rent being an all time criminal offense! I saw a video of this woman bragging about paying $9,000 a month for a one bed room in NYC...just for "The view" which happened to be a highway! And the apartment was outdated by the way🙄Anyway...to end my rant it's difficult to save anything!! It's a gamble between eating and just "winging it"

In my country ,and I believe in many parts of the world , they promote high yield savings account where banks offer top rates by bundling salary crediting, credit card spending, and investment/insurance products. My problem with suhc account is that I cannot track how much I am really able to save . I will go back to traditional method of having a simple savings account , put monthly amount inside, and don't touch it 😅

These are tips good, but somehow most of it are only applicable for established people. If you aren't established yet, then you must find your own formula to build wealth first..I mean find ways more to generate more income first and of course be disciplined and frugal as you can be.
