Do Not Study Russian Grammar!
Video Overview & Insights
You might not believe me but I am testament to the fact that if you want to learn Russian, throw away the grammar books and you'll make massive progress very quickly. Grammar holds you back in the beginning of your language journey so hold off until you are much further down the road towards Russian fluency.

I am curious why do you wear a Israeli Shirt?
@andrephilippChildren don't learn grammar in that academic way either, they just learn the vocabulary and with time they get a natural feel how to use it right. The way students learn grammar.. it's like something a language scientist should have to deal with, not any of us.
@Wiggly-p7cLOVE ISRAEL SO MUCH.❤🇮🇱❤
@TheOnlyGoodShepherd-b1qА почему у Лысого флаг Израиля на груди?

@Tarantinto"Dont learn Russian Grammar" proceeds to mention 5 different cases and 5 forms of "big"
@777RRROthis is one of the best advice ever. I applied the same principle with German. They also have these goddamn cases. After some years speaking German only nominative, I started to learn back the cases.
@danilo6548i disliked this video because you are support israel
@eremaerema4178I'm learning Ukrainian and the Cyrillic alphabet has not taken me two hours to learn...maybe Baldy is a lot smarter than I am.
@BillLowenburgBRUTALLLL!!!
@EnglishTeachingGamesWhen can we crusade israel ?
@alexisgasca9369I've watched this video about 6 years ago, I should've listened him. Grammar is pretty much useless and you should study it once you have a good base of vocab, it makes everything so much easier afterwards, for any language you're gonna learn.
If you don't know roughly 3000 words in your target language, don't even bother to write or learn anything beyond basic grammar points.
Today is 14 march ,gonna take this tip for real and gonna upload my growth on 14 june ..dasvidanya
@samarjeetsingh6243But what if my goal is to read and write?
@KeyaanKewalramaniладно, не буду
@MAXHATKA7 years later i came back to remind everyone about the Israeli shirt... c'mon bald, you can do better lol
@dominicdudebromtl9380what is this dudes shirt 😭
@melaniem5240Fok Israel
@yoislam2Benjamin is right. If you're a beginner learning a language then try to learn as many words as you can. Grammar structure will inevitably come next but you need to know as many words as you can and this goes for pretty much any language whether it be English, French, Spanish etc. Focusing too much on grammar as an absolute beginner will leave you confused. Learn the basics first then take it slowly from there. Grammar is important but vocabulary comes first! Good video👍🏻👍🏻
@IAMJEFFREY-cw9nsDeath to Zionism.
@minaxtin7086В принципе он правильно говорит. Мы поймём что человек хочет сказать если он ошибётся и полностью неправильно употребит падежи :) Ничего страшного :)

@asperans74Watched this a few months ago, did it, progress is slow but quicker than when i had a teacher
@mryong5813That fückas shirt
@shutuptubocaIf you think conjugating verbs is a pain, try conjugating the nouns too. Now you have Russian grammar.

@cassianstaschinator9399but why the israel?
@RealJuevoI don't know what's the point of wearing this t shirt?
@olgasa4836The world hates that country on the shirt crazy to wear it.
That genocidal country has the world held hostage with the Samson option.
Not to mention countries hate the belligerent israeli tourists just ask Thailand
If you want to butcher Russian and be unable to string together a proper sentence then sure, don't study grammar. It's just bad advice. Immersion, actively using the language and acquiring it outside of class room settings and studying grammar and actually respecting the language and how it works are not mutually exclusive. You can do both
@kevintwardawski7851love the cat just chilling the hood of a car
@izabela-j1vI agree with all except the t-skirt.
@heikkijantti9497It's a bad piece of advice. Grammar and vocabulary are not mutually exclusive and rather mutually inclusive. I'd agree the foundation is a lot of practice and expanding your vocabulary first but it only helps if ones takes time to gradually learn the grammar. It's not like you should learn only grammar first but learning it will significantly speed up your progress and overall understanding.
Not using correct cases or genders is OK but if one is serious about mastering the language, no need to neglect this part on purpose.
Having said that, I can only salute your approach as I guess you don't really need to speak it all in the world where English is the most dominant language. And improving your skills whatever way is a step forward.
But there's a reason 1100 hours should be enough to master Russian. And you can't do it so fast without the right academic approach. If time is not a constraint whatever suits you best. Dripping water carves caves, that's how we learn our mother tongues. Repetition, repetition, repetition until your brain stores it permanently.
Russian grammar is fucked. There are like 20 declinations for nouns, everything has prefixes and suffixes that follow rules, but have a lot of exceptions. Good luck trying to be fluent if you are not a native speaker. Though he is absolutely right, if you can get the gist across, anyone will understand you. Though that goes for pretty much every language. I'd say another important thing to practice is pronunciation. There are a lot of vocalisations that english speakers are not used to, so some words can become other words if mispronounced
@RaveWoIfMy friend, you only say that because you speak a barbaric language with a shitty meaningless grammar. Anyone who speaks a mildly civilized language will have no problem at all learning russian grammar. This piece of shit you call a "language" makes you objectivelly dumb.
